FPS Creator X10 / Gun not appearing after pickup; smooth camera

I have two problems:

1. When I pick up my first gun (doesn't matter what kind) its hand model (the model of the player holding it) doesn't show. I can't fire the weapon. I see the HUD crosshair, and the ammunition/weapon type thing in the corner as well, but no weapon. This can be remedied by pressing 0 to "hide" it, and pressing 1 to bring it back.

2. "Smooth camera" feels a bit out of control. Is there any way to disable this feature without mods (x10 has no mods, so...)?

I dunno about your first problem

you can turn smooth camera off by going into

C:\Users\username\Documents\FPSC X10 Files

and editing the setup.ini file
