Im having a bit of a problem with the run fpi command. I have it set up with the target script in the scriptbank main folder and that script then uses the plys mod return script to return to the original once it has finished. What happens is that the target script loads around 40 to 50 huds and then returns to the main hud interaction. The only problem i can think of with the scripts is that the first script is in the languagebank... Apart from that i cant see any problems. Im not posting all of the code as it is quite a big project i am working on and want to keep it secret.

Main Script:

Target Script:

From tests i have found out that the problem is with the first script as i have set up huds to show in the second which don't show, indicating that the problem lies with the initial script.

I think you need to specify that the script is in the scriptbank if the other line is in the language bank. If the script is in the scriptbank user folder then it will be scriptbank\user. Also, remove the spaces from the file name as I heard this can cause problems.

Hm, I've been having similar problems with runfpi, in the end I just found a workaround to avoid it. Are you sure you need to use runfpi?

It's hard to help without the whole script but there's almost always another way to achieve the desired effect. If you're still having trouble then email the scripts to me and I'll see what I can do, it's not like I'm gonna steal them Are you using Project Blue or Ply's Mod? And which version?

@marc steene

The entire script would not be much use. In order to test the whole thing properly, you would need the (16) weapons and (100ish) huds which are used within the game. None of the other lines are effecting this as the whole script runs perfect until these two lines are added in.

For the information; I am using V1.7 of project blue. I'll have one last test before i begin to re-write the entire script so I can include the new features im wanting to include (some ideas from your nuke thread).

@Red Eye

I have tried it with and without, but no luck either way..

try changing the state #.

:state=0:runfpi=scriptbank\setuplevelpart2.fpi,state=1

your calling the same state 3 times (I am guessing)
and it looks like all states are 0
if so then there is nothing changed.(I GUESS) just a theroy.

once that script ends so does its state.(that's what I am told)

maybe it will give you an idea or something.

Never give up trying. Just try it another way that works for you.

Ive tried it but with no luck. marc, im gonna send you a copy of both scripts. I dont think that you need all of the huds, but if you do i can send you some of the necessary ones.

I shouldn't need any HUDs if it's just a scripting problem, but it may help if the scripts refuse to work. I'll wait for your email.
