General Jackson, those screenshots look fantastic! The gun looks ten times better in Unity than it does in FPSC. Great work, keep it up (I look forward to seeing some more shots)

And thank you Butter Fingers, I haven't seen you around for a while, nice to see you again.

Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you like it.

The official designation for the gun is "M1897" so it was produced from the year 1897 onward which meant it would have been used in both world wars. This version doesn't have the heat shield on the barrel so it's not a proper "trench" gun.

Uzi idiot, yep that was intentional. I wanted to make it so you could see all the inner workings and such.

How the heck did I miss this all the times it has been bumped?
Well, at least I saw it this time.

Thanks Opposing force!

EDIT
Wow Opposing force, this is really top notch.
I love the way you have to load the chamber for the full reload too.
I can't imagine needing a better texture. (maybe just camo that one in variations)

Excellent job all around.

Quote: "looks great! the hand looks a bit to sticky outy though... maybe move it back and to the left a bit."

But I think his arms are broken."

Like the others, my only criticism is about the way the hand is bent too far.
I think about half of that bend would look more natural.

Is it okay to modify the hand mesh position, so we can bend it to our own liking? (since each person probably has their own thoughts on what angle looks right)
If so, then is there any chance we could get your milkshape file? (.ms3d)

If not, that's cool and I understand.
Just figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Thanks again for the model, because it is awesome just as it is.

It might not be 'proper', but I would be happy to jump in or out of a trench with it.

Conjured Entertainment, thanks. I'm glad you like it . Feel free to modify it how you wish, same goes for everyone. I've attached the Milkshape file to this post. A note about the hands, the hands aren't actually rigged (The model pack 4 rig was causing me problems so I just attached it to a single bone in Milkshape) so to bend the arm into a differnt shape you're gonna have to manipulate the vertices directly. Hope all goes well with it.

...or a more official designation; Winchester Model 1897, but due to copyright.... Trench guns were primarily classified by the length of the weapon, a shorter barrel would provided more maneuverability in trenches. Some trench guns were outfitted with bayonet lugs and/or heat shields. The M1897 had a heat shield on the trench gun version to compensate from the barrel overheating due to the weapon being slam fired (Act of holding down the trigger, and repeatedly cycling the action until the whole magazine is empty(or when you felt like it)).
