No matter what I seem to do...FPSC doesn't seem to want to work for me.

1st I tried running FPSCx10 without updates, and I went about creating my rooms, and when I tested it, all the rooms were invisible, and I could only see entities. Then I updated my FPSCx10 and when I tried running it again, I get these kinds of errors:

"The program can't start because d3dx10_40.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling to fix this problem."

I have DirectX10 installed, why am I getting these errors?

Also, after I exit out of the previous error, I get the next error:

"Failed to load DLL (2: DBProSetup10.dll) - The specified module could not be found."

Does anyone know how to fix this?

*If anyone wants to try my map (its my first ever, be easy on me) I attatched it to see if anyone gets errors

**I'm running Windows 7, and I even tried Vista compatibility.

Try re-installing, then updating your display drivers.

Uninstalled FPSCX10, reinstalled DirectX10, and updated drivers.

Still get the same error

Well, this is a DirectX issue.. Since it can't locate one of the core libraries, have you tried installing the latest version of DirectX yet? There's a load of random downloads on the internet which are older versions which don't always include this specific file.

Make sure you have the last video drivers installed...

Then update Directx with the link below.. and you'll be all fixed up..

Unhelpful Titles

Please do not simply write "Noob Question", "I am a newb", "One Noobie Question", "A question", "Please help", "This isn't working" or anything similar as the title of your post. We have a search facility, and meaningless titles do not help others find answers to their questions. It will also help you to get quicker responses if people have an idea of your thread content.

Heya xxRSxx I think I found a solution to your problem. Go to this link, download this file. Put the dll into your c:windows/system directory. NOT system32 just system. This in theory should bypass the error your getting. http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx10_40
