Perhaps it should be said that if you make jokes like that, to first at least know the person you're directing them at. Some jokes can strike personally, even if they're not meant to.
People are sensitive on certain subjects, so it seems to be the case for you Daniel, which is okay. There are a couple of things I am sensitive to in terms of humour (Alzheimer's jokes for one), and if somebody made the joke, I'd just ask them not to, although when it comes to humour I'm quite thick skinned, so I'd probably put up with it.
