Hi:

I have just purchased FPS creator x10, I know that windows 7 is not totally supported but other posts indicated that it should work.

My system is as follows:
Hardware: Sony VAIO AR51M, Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT GPU

Windows 7 (ver=6.1.7100), it is fully up to date.

According to dxdiag, my directx version is 11

When I go to start FPS creator x10 I keep getting an error message saying that I need to install directx 10 or later!

Has anyone come across this, does anyone know of a solution?

Thanks.

That GPU isn't going to work very well, sorry. Make sure you have DirectX 10.1 installed.

I mean the GPU, not DX.

Thanks for the replies:

it seems that the dxdiag program was not reporting the version exactly correctly! I installed the dx10 from the install disk and it the program worked.

But at that stage it failed when I tried to test the game due to a missing dll (d3dx10_40.dll).

I then installed the latest dxwebsetup from Microsoft and everything worked.

FYI: This works very well on the Sony VAIO AR51M with Windows 7, no noticable time lags so far.

Thnaks again.
