As far as i can see you have all completely mised the best answer

I have on my 466 celeron, about 300 megs of ram, which is more than you have on you P4, all you have to do is check out what type of ram you mother board takes (because there are many different speeds of ddr ram) and add some more, because i doubt very much that a P4 motherboard is limited to 256 of ram max. Once you've done this you should see noticable improvement to your Computers speed in XP.

I suppose my gig tops the lot. Mind, it is a renderfarm.

This has "Fiasco" written all over it.

Bogboy2000 thanks

I've not been checking the forum for a while I've been reading a Linux book of 400 pages and I even found a cool link about Linux Game Programming.

Well, I'm not pretty sure what kind of memories should fit in my computer. Should be great if we could mix DDR with older memories types, but I don't think it's possible

I'm not sure either what kinda of mother board I have. For garanty issues, I'm not allowed to open my computer
In the mother board instalation disk reads: "Intel Desktop Boards D850EMD2 and D850EMV2". So should be one of them
Indeed I should open the computer to put more memory on it I've a Intel Pentium 2, 400mhz which has 512 of RAM and I do not use it much more then and FTP I have... But I really don't think those older memories shall fit in my new computer

Maybe, I need more money for the memories

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
