This works 100% perfect. Will this become a update for the engine somehow?

BTW may i post some screenshots here to show it works? its so funny to see them fall from high places.

Thanks Thraxas
I just downloaded it and will give it a go tommorrow.This is one of those things FPSC needs to take it to the next level.Great work!

I,m picturing a scene where a ragdoll character falls off a platform, into a pool of water and is attacked by an alligator.Maybe a little blood stain in the water? I've seen water, an animated alligator, and now we have the ragdoll. It would not take to much to put this together. That would make a heck of a game scene.

I used "darkdestroy.fpi" for destroy in scriptbank\people.

But scriptbank\destroy\ragdollcorpse.fpi is probably better.

Ugh no dice. Everytime I assign the script to a character and kill it, it simply freezes in a standing position. Is there something I'm missing? Are there any special things I forgot to do?

The problem i had was that there was very little evidence of rag-doll. I saw now and again the character's arm fall off the side, but you still get the problems like the characters sometimes floating in mid air or their torsos sticking out of the map.

But I love how we now have a form of rag-doll in fpsc Shows that we do have potential and it is beginning to be fulfilled.

Yeah it's not quite perfect, yet, but given the fact that this was a pre-release version I'm sure it will improve over time.

More importantly, though, I think it does show that TGC listens to to its customers. After Lee responded to Nickydude's email about what the migration was/wasn't going to be. A lot of people, myself included, felt a bit let down.

Lee read the thread, clarified what was happening and then added in ragdoll. I see lots of complaining about what TGC doesn't do so it's nice when we can all see what they do do(do do hah hah ).

Now that this is possible, I wonder if we can spawn them as ragdolls...and also apply this to other entities such as ropes/chains.

but you have to say folks that the best feature that would be added to fpsc (not possible)
is the grab feature.. it would be so cool for a tomb-raider game..

grab feature? if you mean hanging on ledges, that's possible for even stock FPSC. the character can go up any slant, so that can be used to simulate a hanging on ledges feature.

umm, any FPSC. put a fairly slanted invisible ledge on a wall, and jump at it. the player will move up it if it's not too steep.

Dont know if this has been said already but I found the best way to use this is to shorten the die anims to one frame in the character fpe.
Die anims to change:
anim11 = 0,1
anim14 = 40,41
anim17 = 120,121
anim20 = 80,81

anim61 = 0,1
anim64 = 40,41
anim67 = 120,121
anim70 = 80,81

ragdoll takes effect right away without anims playing and looks a heck of a lot more natural. It looks like part of the animation is playing first, on the stock characters at least, I just found this looks a lot better.

This is awesome! when can we expect to see this update to 1.17? I am going to postpone the release of my beta for this script! also, do the people fade with this script of anything? or is there multiple scripts, because I was hoping that there would be 1 like this where it left the bodies like in real life.

Thanks a lot.

I tried it, and I did that memory cap thing, and it encountered an error and needed to close when it's initializing the player. When I delete the start marker, it does the same thing on the loading active guns!

I am VERY excited to be able to test ragdoll on fpsc.
One small problem though,
i replaced the new exe with the old one and put the destroy script on a npc, but when they die they just freeze in place.
Was there more things i needed out of that packet?

As long as you downloaded the script files and put them in your script folder it should work. Check this post to make sure you have everything.

I'm not sure... make sure you have updated to 1.16 before applying the Ragdoll Mod and see if that helps.
