Thanks. I've been replaying Morrowind and Oblivion for ideas. Might get some more media in tonight. Trying to figure out decals and animated billboards in FPSC right now. There's some effects I'd like to create to help enhance the atmosphere.

Edit: Added some stats to the first post, and a download all media button which will always be up-to-date.

Crap, I meant to take that one out, it's too buggy in FPSC. I created it to be a way for people to drop down levels instead of using silly stairs. It's a ceiling tile, just it's too big and the collision is very bad with it.

I'll see if I can fix it and get it in. I swear I didn't include it in any download. :S Though, it does have a stealth +5 buff..must have sneaked in.

If I might give some suggestions about models further enhancing your Eldar range:

A single segment-wide double-sided wall entity
1. If I do a room with an archway on each segment on 2 opposing sides the wall can be put up against the back of the archways to create "recessed arches" which would make very "classic" looking fantasy rooms.
2. It would also allow dividing a room into smaller parts, as it is now I need the columns to close the end gaps of back-to-back walls. Imo this wall can be perfectly flat to make it easier to modell.

A stair
I know its not as fancy as the things you allready announced but it'd make the segment complete somehow.

But whatever you do next, I am sure it will be top-quality

Ok, lol!

Might be an idea to remove the sound from the brazier (although it is easy to do), not everyone wants to have a fire in it.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll put them on the list.

Nick:
Yah, I'm a noob. I'll release an Update soon with a new drop ceiling and edited fpe for the brazier.

For fun I downloaded Bond1's sword and black Knight to play around with. It looks like an actual game now!

Happy late Easter! Was really busy with family this week, didn't have time to do anything. So much food, egg hunts and spilled coffee...fun nonetheless!

Lot of updates, model weirdness fixes, and some new segments to make bigger rooms.

As requested I added a free wall entity for making rooms inside rooms. Also have created new curved ceiling tiles to make bigger rooms, a new taller pillar and the pillars are now capped so they can be looked down on from up above. Also fixed the floor tile which was lower then I thought it was which caused gaps for some entities. Added a new Flat Ceiling tile FPE, which is just the normal Ceiling tile with the stone wall texture. First post updated. Enjoy!

Np.

I was thinking of adding a gargoyle head to the curved ceiling corner piece to give it some character. Anyone else have ideas?

Posted a demo of the Elder Media in action. Nothing fancy, but cool to see my work in something that works.

Looking good! Your making a nice little pack ehh?

Out of curiosity, how are you importing Josh?

Are you using the standard Fpsc entity maker?

Laz:
Doing it by hand. Just exporting to x format in Truespace, then I type up the FPE file. FPSC converts it to a DBO file when it's used in a compiled level. You can have some trial and error sometimes, especially when dealing with segments, since they are placed differently then entities.

Edit: Anyone know if you can disable collision for a segment? I'm not sure how the collision variables work in the FPS file.

Bumping one last time then letting it die. Working on Sanctuary media which will include segments, entities, enemies, weapons, sounds and HUD's. Selling this one though, maybe some stuff free.

372 downloads all together, not bad me thinks.

Not sure I understand what that means?

Elder Media was essentially me learning how to import media into FPSC. Sanctuary is the next step.

Sanctuary is my most ambitious project atm. My website will be up tonight, so I'll be able to showoff some screens. Best part of this set of media is no one has done this before. The weapons are the craziest you'll ever see the enemies are wicked, and the scenery designs are creepy.

..and like I said before, the theme is based off a game I use to play religiously back in '95.

412 downloads

Wow, this pack is indeed something special. Good job Josh Mooney.
I really like your style, I would download your pack but I am trying to create things by myself.
(You might wanne start a oblivion project for FPSC...)

Oblivion is probably my favorite FP-RPG of all time, which is where I drew the inspiration for this. I'm thinking after Sanctuary, I'll start something like it. I have an idea and I want to use the RPG mod to build it. Though I might wait for the crossover.

At 459 downloads.

Bumping again for a specific reason though. I've received an email about not knowing what to do with the .rar files once downloaded. All you have to do is unzip the files into your main FPSC folder. All the files will automatically go in the right places. When you unzip other packs, if they ask if you want to replace a file, just click 'yes to all'.

Hope this helps.

Alright, bumping this because I'll be taking down the files in a few days. Cleaning house on my media fire account to make way for my new website files. So download now before they are gone!

...and don't worry. My new website will include a FPSC section. I've been working on some new models and am hoping to release them soon.

Ah! I should have posted something..man this thread has been dead a while too...

Download Here

It's a huge download because it contains hundreds of models. There are only a handful that are FPSC, just need to be copied into your FPSC directory. FPSC models include this Elder pack, and my Curse pack.

On a side note, I have a new set of Elder media done, roughly 47 out of 150 planned completed. Though I'm planning to send TGC an email about putting out an official pack.

Anyway, updates when I can. Busy busy busy!

I wish you good luck with that, your media would definitely be a cool addition to the range - especially if you can use shaders. It would also profit from the bloom options imo

Why was this thread resurrected? I would have not complained except all of the download links say that the files have been deleted????
