Please re-phrase this sentence, it makes no sense to me.

If you are asking if I made the weapons, yes i did. Most of them over a long period of time.

Don't mean to be a jerk, but I'm just going to explain my reasoning. Just some threads that throw some red flags up for me:

Here is a thread where you offered another artists model as your own before you edited, and a mod brought up the point that he couldn't find the rights for you to redistribute:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=137981&b=24
And a quote by you from the thread:
Quote: "My bad, i forgot i didn't make it, i took so long compressing the files that i wrote that in a hurry! (forgetting that i did not make it.)"

A post about you asking to reduce polys for your gun. I would think someone with enough skill to build it would not need someone else to reduce it. Not only that, but your other posts during that time period are simpler in skill than the gun, which looks nice. (See screenshots below) http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=140593&b=3

Also, a quick search of your threads shows many are locked. In my eyes that's just less credibility. Also posts about converting existing wrl files. And finally, the only fairly advanced models I've seen from you are based on existing games. Not that any of these mean you're guilty, just that it makes me suspicious.

Again, I don't mean to accuse and I hate to be a jerk. If I'm wrong I truly apologize. Some of my work was recently stolen so I keep an eye out for these things now.

As pointed out his model is triangulated, which is common when importing models from a common 3d format...*sigh*

@The crazy: The locker was just me trying to learn how to animate, and I did not have the time available to model my own at that time. I just found a quick model and animated it. Forgot to say that I didn't make it in the top post at the time of posting. Those simple models were my first models that I ever UV Mapped and textured. They were simple so that I could learn how to UV Map and texture basic objects (we all need to start somewhere). Please remove them images before it causes more suspicion because I don't want to have to get a mod to lock this thread because everyone posts about that. These models will be a pain in the *** to UV Map, unless I get a friend or I pay someone to do it for me. The textures would probably be easier now since I do a bit of photoshop at school.

@Toasty Fresh: Like I said in the top post, these are for a game project on FPSC or similar.

@Josh Mooney: These models are for FPSC, so they need to be triangulated.

thanks

So? I don't triangulate until I've finished the model and exported. It's such a hassle to have them triangulated if your not finished with the actual model. There is no reason to have them triangulated within your main file unless you imported them from a 3ds/x/(other formats that force triangulate objects) format.

I agree with crazy on the fact that it seems your skill has jumped lightspeeds. Your only excuse is forgetting to say something or not wording your thoughts correctly.

I'm sorry, but I'm paranoid just like a lot of 3d modelers who's media has been stolen.

i usually triangulate to see how it will look, but then i usually export it to OBJ as triangulated object.

I thoroughly stated every factor that made me suspicious. I provided COMPLETE logical evidence for my thinking. There is nothing wrong with what I said. I'm sure everyone with a functioning brain can agree that I was very fair in stating multiple times that I could be wrong and simply provided my evidence.

I almost always model with triangles. I am no expert, but through experience, I have found that it gives me more control with shading, smoothing groups, mesh curves(for silhouettes) and the such. I mean, a quad is just two triangles together, with a hidden seam. If a 1x1 plain is laying on the ground, and you drag a vert up, it's going to make a horrible seam down the middle of the plain, which will affect the silhouette and give it some bad shading. Why not be prepared and see where those hidden seems are before you start manipulating the mesh?

(sorry for the quality... it's just a quick paintbrush copy/paste .jpg)

I especially prefer triangles when I am working on a non-organic model and am trying to conserve polys. And even when I am modeling with organic things, I still use triangles on certain spots. Especially in areas where an arm might bend, or the inside of the knees. I would rather not have a quad collapse when I rig it and animate it.

I'm not saying whether they are stolen are not, (I tend to give the benefit of the doubt, anyway) but I will say that I see extra polygons throughout the models that could have been deleted to save on poly count that I don't think would have come from a AAA game where normals could have given the same effect.

Can a mod please lock this thread before it turns into another flame war.

EVERY post I make on this forum results in people going against my work or are against me. Amongst these posts I only got 1 that said good work. (thank you lazerus). Thanks Creating Game for trying to assist me in this matter. Thanks Alucard94 for backing me up.

To those who posted against my hard efforts: Please don't spam against me in my threads again. I work hard on my models and it takes hours of modelling to achieve my goals.

Obviously this isn't the place for me to be, because I can't get any positive feedback for my hard work. Oh, and by the way, those models were finished.

Mods, please lock this thread for me, reason: Noone cares about my hard work. They just try to spam my threads with negative feedback and images of my older work to try put it as if I didn't make these.

I too thought exactly the same thing as everyone else when I saw those meshes.

If I were you Gamerdude, I would get with some evidence pretty smartish.

and like I said, lock this thread before this nonsense continues.

this is my last post here until this has been resolved.

We all know you're going to be back sooner than later so the entire "dramatic leave" thing doesn't work.
And it's not people being negative, it's people being suspect for the general mentality you've shown on this forum, you can't say their reactions are uncalled for.

And this isn't a very good way to respond, BiggAdd obviously has a life, and he doesn't want to looking at his emails all day. So wait for a while and he will eventually reply, but until then be patient and don't be stupid.

First of all, I don't think anyone would care if you left, all your threads are either whine threads or turn into something bad. Second, I'm pretty sure Biggadd checks his emails, some people don't sit on their computers ALL DAY.

Hm.. Like I said he probably has a life and can't be bothered to reply, as he has too much stuff on his hands, he is a human being not a cyber-person just programmed to answer your emails all day. Also 2 days isn't alot of time considering I only look at my emails only once a month.

Honestly, I felt like kind of a jerk with the possibility of being wrong about him stealing it but shame on you Gamerdude, shame on you.

Biggadd, I could be wrong, but I understand mods are able to see if the ip address of a member is similar to that of another. Have you checked to see if there are any other accounts under his address? Perhaps one named 'Creating Game'? :p I only notice this as it's one of the few who defended him, it seems like a spam name, and I haven't seen him posting around much other than to jump in here. Just a thought, couldn't hurt to check.

BigAdd missed the subject here. He compared his "old" model that really wasn't his with the one from sketchup that are identical.

BUT,GamerDudes model that is in the first post of this thread,is way different from the stolen one. So I dont see what has this thread to do with an old model?

Proof attached.

Gamerdude got owned.

I don't think this forum is starting to degrade, just polarize. If you come you are either a pirate who annoys everyone or a good person with real talent. No middle anymore. (Which I guess could be considered degradation) And it's probably not as much our forum, more society as a whole. DRM has put people is a pirating mood.

BUT, back on topic.

Gamerdude got owned.
