1) I've been searching the web for some DBC tutorials, but I can't find any that aren't in the manual. I was looking for these in particular:
-making FPS games
-making 3rd person games

2) I have a main screen with 2 buttons on. I can't figure out how to let the player click on one, to continue.

Sorry, I have a problem with rambling on.

I mean I've been looking for a tutorial, or help file that would help me in making either an fps, or a 3rd person game. Preferably an fps. I tried looking at Iced, and The extra tutorials with DB, but They don't explain very well (or at least in my point of view). So I was wondering if anyone knew any.

goto
http://developer.thegamecreators.com/?f=db_tutorials

its on this website!!!!!
there are 2 tutorials that will basically tell you how and walk you though it

if you cannot glean enough information out of these tutorials to make one then you are not ready to make one

also look through the 20line comp there are several in there

My advice is free -
unfortunately you get what you pay for (-:

for your second question,

im assuming that your menu is inside its own loop...
just get the mousex() and mousey() coords and check if they are over the button, if they are, check if the mouseclick() = 1 and if it is, goto mainprogram: etc...

i attached some source of my own menu, which is also in another thread...
