Not actually mine - it was my older brothers - but a similar slot car set was by far my favorite to play with. It probably explains my enjoyment of NASCAR today.

Manta Force. When I was really young, my parents were quite poor, and couldn't afford anything but small toys. Then one birthday, I got this massive box (it seemed almost as tall as me) and in it was this entire manta force set. It was the first time I'd got anything on that scale, and I was absolutely made up!

Insert piccy sig here. Eh? Why didn't that work?!?! Must ring help-a-noob. What was the number again? .... where am I?

I used to have a Simba teddy from the lion king, but I can't find it on the internet. I miss the little thing, but it got ran over, so we have to get rid of it.

However, Playmobil for the win!

I had a LOT of scalextric. Some Mk1 tracks and the rest Mk2 tracks. Along with a lot of classic cars i had quite a collection. I still have a few of my favourite ones but the rest have been given away or sold. Shame really as some might be worth a bit of money today.

I'm rooting for K'nex in this one. It was awesome. You can actually make some really awesome stuff with it. Good for kids - it stimulates your mind.

Had the entire set once, plus the huge GI Joe base with a bunch of action figures and one jet. Use to have epic battles, TMNT vs GI Joe. Many deaths...never got tired of it.

Ah, I had an original GameBoy back when I lived in Germany, God that's taking me back...I was 4.

Though over Easter I found my old GameBoy Pocket with Pokemon Red in, I was soooooo excited, put in a couple of AAA's and it just gives me a black screen. I might see if I can find a second hand GameBoy Colour anywhere.

Also, I had a GameBoy Color exactly like Inspire's, until it met the same fate as my DS - work-surface->slide->floor->crack

The logo lets it away xD.

Shame my painting sucked the Tau kept coming up looking like psychedelic drunks! And I know the age limit is like 13 and up, but we got past the age limit .

And, of course, I was addicted to these (not exactly toys):

I still play those gems .

I had a pretty big erection set when I was a kid, it was lots of fun to play with. K'nex was fun too, I had the roller coaster set for a while.

Toys a something you play with right? and you play video games, so they should be classified as toys.

@Melancholic: LOL, i was thinking the same thing.

Hands down, legos. This is the greatest classic space set of all time... aside from maybe the explorian mothership but unfortunately I never got to own that one.

Yeah but I mean, we have a whole forum for video games (and various 'Favourite video game' threads) - I think it makes more sense to stick to physical toys

Edited - because when i had it explained to me that David R was now talking about something completely different than what he was trying to say in his first post rather than responding to the answer to his original post (wich he quoted) i see how (obviously) my post made no sense.

Silly me thinking that when people ask you about your own statement you'd reply with something relevant.

Because you missed it mate

Hes saying that Video games shouldnt be used here since we have quite a few favourite game threads. So everything bar disks go, consoles as a whole seem to be okay.

Oh, i see, i completely misunderstood what he was saying. I guess it's because his post makes no sense, if people want to post their favourite console or video game they had when they were growing up why moan about it? I guess it's just David R being David R.

I'm not moaning - I just thought it would be cool to see actual (tangible/physical) toys in this thread considering the rest of the forum is for video games, you know?

Nice talking to you too

Yeah, seems you've made quite the habit of blaming other people on your inability to read. Sneaky edits to slag other users off because you've misunderstood something = a bit out of order in my opinion.

That and the fact I've never even referenced your post or quoted you. I was replying to someone else. What are you on about? (and saying "Let's only talk about tangible toys" is pretty damn relevant to "Video games aren't toys!" as far as I'm concerned)

I was stupid enough at that age to think they were when I damaged the case to one of the games by boomeranging it across our garden, hitting our tree . The disc was alright though, because it was in our PS1 anyway xD.
