Use the SETTARGETNAME=X in the .FPI and set the X to the name of the entity you want it to attack. Then you need to use actions such as ROTATETOTARGET, MOVETOTARGET etc. to carry out the operation. X10 has the ability to change characters form Enemy to Friend of Neutral so yeah, I can't see why X9 doesn't have that.
