DarkBASIC Discussion / xp problem

i just started using dark basic it works fine on my pc using win98 but when i try to us it on my laptop with xp it crashes my pc and a blue screen comes up then reboots my laptop.

please help

it works fine on both of my computers, and they both have XP pro.
but on my friends comp. it doesnt work, he has win2000. i dont know why that is.but does yours crash when you run DB or when you run your program? do you have the right vir of DirectX?

it crashes when i start dark basic and yes i do have directx 9 in.

i'd bet you don't have the correct drivers
because it works on my XP and my ME

(this is from my memory which is known to be faulty)
it may be a ram problem???
someone posted a few months back that they were running XP with 128mb ram and were crashing
someone else posted that with XP you need more ram than 128 to run DB with XP?
i don't know for sure, its just what i remember and i may be wrong

my old computer ran darkbasic fine (xp)
and my new one also works fine (xp)

zzabb is right, on XP, i believe more RAM is needed... dont hold me to that though.

y not try emailing support and give them your specs and everything and they'll probably be able to tell you the problem
