This is something i have been wondering for a long time, what are your dreams for FPS Creator X10? what are those things you really want more than anything else?

As I'm thinking of ideas for something that is being added to MysticMod soon i thought this may be good to hear from everyone that uses FPS Creator i want to also see how many people say what is being added to the mod, but again i wont tell you what it is.

Anyway give your thoughts and deepest desires.

Top wishes
- Wave effects on water + more water physic control
- Terrain editing
- Multi-player enhancements
- Volumetric cloud system
- Time of day
- Suggest your wishes.

MISCELLANEOUS:
-HUD Shaders (like reflection mapping for ice etc.)
-Material friction (e.g. Ice would be slippery, so the player and other objects would slip and whatnot)
-3D Red+Cyan Shader Support
-Terrain Editing
-Awards/Acheivements/Challenges for different skills e.g. Quik-Scoping, One-Shot Kills...
-Weapon Speed Modifier (change the speed of reloading etc.)
-HUD Lag (As in it 'chases' the screen, so it swings to the centre when the camera moves)

SINGLE PLAYER:
-Dual Wielding
-Player Camera Movements (e.g. the camera does a recoil effect when hurt, or falls to the floor when hit in a explosion).
-Protection equipment e.g. Riot Shield
-Vehicle Support (of course, a blatant ambition for FPSC )
-Real-Time weapon upgrading (like Crysis, adding different attachments on etc.)

MULTIPLAYER:
-Killstreaks (e.g. 3 Kills - Radar, 5 Kills - Guided Missile etc.)
-Customisable Killstreaks
-Class Customisation (ability to change starting weapons and perks etc.)
-Friends Management
-Messages Management
-Chat Looby
-Main MP Looby (like CoD5's lobby or even "Halo 2 for PC"'s LIVE Game Lobby)
-Multiple maps
-Vote to Skip Map
-Ranking System like CoD:MW2 (Level 1, 2, 3...)
-Emblem and Title Modification (your 'tag' in MP games like MW2)
-Dynamic Objects

GRAPHICS:
-Built-in Material Editor like UDK or Unity
-Real-time Lightrays
-Occlusion Maps (balances how the light hits a material)
-Real-Time Ambience Colour
-Multiple Shader Support on one object
-Reflection Mapping
-Time of Day System

That's all I can think of right now xD. They're all for the top of my head, so I must have a pretty big head....

Sorry to disappoint you SSG, but all of those can't quite make it into the next update.

Let's see if anyone can guess the feature that I am currently toying with. I bet that no one will guess it.

You may have your work cut out for you but I think you could do it with about 5 gallons of coffee. I will use my special powers to find out what it is (do you take cheque for your bribe money)

Well, I can't promise that it will work yet (it should, I just need to get it all worked out in DBP, then move it to X10) but if anyone wants to know, I'll tell the first person to submit a nice icon for the new installer.

Nice icon, although you should add the Mystic Mod 'M' in the middle bottom for easy recognition

Also, not sure if I can do this on this thread as it's supposed to be about wanted X10 features, if anyone has any objections then email me, but anyway:

When we get a few more people posting i will make a list of all the most popular ones on the top post.

I would like to see ragdoll implemented into multi-player, I would also like to see a Recoil and ironsight system (I know we are working on this) I would also like the ability to get more custom shaders into this engine. I have some more maybe later, but I will have to think about it all.

and lol knxrb, it's so true. FPSC IP is one of the coolest things.

**Edit**

Just thought of some more,

Dynamic objects in multi-player
Vehicle support in multi-player
Grenades and noob tubes (flak) in multi-player

maybe some more later.

I don't mind, I would've thought all those wouldn't fit into one update .

knxrb,

I know they're in it. I like FPSC-IP, but the idea of paying for a number of things isn't on my tick-list. If I have spare money after buying a few upgrades, I'll consider buying them. I will consider FPSC-IP 4.0 when it comes out, since I actually can't see a chance of an MP lobby system added into a Test-Game/Final Product EXE when, to test it, you have to create a new game every time . But I do like the sounds of the ideas, and I hope more of my ideas can influence other modders .

Errhh, I'm not sure if you know where that symbol comes from. It is the logo for the band Queensrÿche, and I can't really use their logo for a semi-commercial mod, because it isn't my property.

so whats with the clamp down? im shocked as how can the next or nilloc be on it?

well i like what rpg does like multiple character choice at the beginning, and if they are not doing rpg modx10 then there is a nice one.

jumping between levels able to go back and forth.

rumble pad (being sorted)

and 2x maps (being sorted)

ambient light colour change bar and script to change it so that it cuts out the too many lights problem. and done by a simple trigger zone. cut down on loading time and memory. a dead good idea from jingle fett.

attaching lights to dynamic objects. ie fireball,

be able to make the muzzleflash stay on permanent ( like in x9 ) means you are able to use torches and stuff.

an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!

In all seriousness, being removed from moderation is almost like a grace period in which after that they trust you again, if you misbehave again during that period, the risk of moderation or a ban is higher. And also, there is the little Edit Post below your profile details .

So back to on-topic

Also i think mabey we can adjust the water a bit more like if we click the button 2 it pops out a square black the size of the segments floor each click raises the water level by 10 but only in that area

Ok when ever we want water in our game it covers the entire area so change it so we slect a tool while ingame a green square appears and it is the same size as the segment floor each click will make water in that area also if you want to effect the whole room while ingame you click ctrl something which allows you to expand the area selected its kinda hard to explain

So, basically like adding a floor entity but marking it as water? Best bet is that'll need water physics too since opening a door from a room filled with water to a room with no water would look odd if the water didn't flow in lmao .

It would also kill your framerate, as the current water is just one plain rendering the shaders to it, if you did segments you would need to render everything to all of the different plains.

While i was building the out doors of my game I thought what universe has day the entire time?! Then the greatest idea came in my head! How about a night and day cycel? What you would need is an animated skybox that slowly changes it would make games very realistic and i know this is possible!

That would be awesome and with Dark Clouds I'm sure you could get physical clouds into the environment also it would be great to play with first thing i'd do is fill the whole world with clouds and try to find my way around a maze.

You could achieve day/night lighting with very simple scripting. As for Dark Clouds, that is something that I have always wanted to get, but I still haven't. I think that I may look into it more.

Dark Clouds isn't a scripting thing, it's a DBP .dll, so you would have to hard code the clouds into the X10 source.

Quote: "PS2.0 backwards compatibility"

Yeah, it's too bad that is coded into the DBP X10 compiler source, so I can't do anything about that one.

This might sound like a really dumb idea but read it all

A "morph tool" or "terrain tool" what this allows you to do is select the segment and open it up in a side panel you will be able to mkae bumps in it stretch the segment and many othwe things to the segment and also change the texture all in one window.'

kinda strange idea

Sorry for 2 posts also these would be nice

better way of getting your weapons (a bar at the bottom of the screen showing the current weapons and what number to click to use them)

Be able to change the players jump height

Be able to end a multiplayer game when a certain amount of given kills( killsendgame= (given number)

Be able to move thing while in text game by pressing Ctl and click on the object you want to move.

Be able to have realistic deaths ( headshot=instant death 4shots in gut =instant death)

Weather system

Decal controler (be able to change the color size speed ect of the decal)
