I installed dark basic classic on my laptop. It installed fine and I am able to code fine. The problem is that I cant view what I make.
Says something about buffer, or back buffer support. Something like that. Whats it mean?

My laptop is a IBM Thinkpad with windows 1998 installed. I installed directx (the one that came with DBC).
In other words lets just say my laptop is pretty old. I can do any normal stuff on it but im stumped about the whole buffer thing.

If anyone knows whats going on please tell me. I would really rather program on my laptop.

Well thanks
Nicolas

I don't think the graphics card is up to the job. I tried installing on an IBM thinkpad A22m, doesn't want to know. It looks like DB must have backbuffer support on the hardware, and the Thinkpad doesn't.

My presario 1275 had problems too, until added more memory and upped the graphics memory to 8mb. Now DBC works fine, and it's only 400mhz or something, probably older than you lappy.
