Is anyone aware of any box modeling tutorials for characters? Particularly ones that might be compatible with modeling in Milkshape?

If you're in the UK get hold of a copy of 'Game Maker' Magazine form Future publishing. It contains an excellent milkshape tutorial (based on making an Unreal character).

You can have a look at my video tutorial,it covers the basics of box-modelling a female using correctly deformable edge assignement

It's in the thread full of 3d tutorials on the top of this very board.

Yea, bout that heheh
Sorry my mirror will be down for a bit ;p
I kinda got busted for using my DSL line as a host which sparked further investigation leading to the discovery of a pseudo-legal webserver app... -_-;;
I "somehow" managed to miss the fine print that said that distributing my own information of my own consent for $70US/month was no longer up to my good judgement... So anyway...I'm looking into buying a proper server system this time... that and flipping off the DA... anyway...yea sorry about that mirror thing

You mean box modeling Milkshape? Sure, you can do box modeling in any basic 3d app,
but the good ones have advanced tools for cutting, splitting, subdividing faces and edges.

As far as I know, you can't do anything with edges in Milkshape.

Maybe you should check out the latest plugins for Milkshape ... extruding edges was one of the latest ones.

when i get home i'll dig up the Joan of Arc tutorial, its for Max4 however its true box modellig and translates easily into Milkshape as long as you understand the basics.
