This is kind of a rant and also hope to get some feed back from all of you.
Okay, a guy I knew when I was growing up is taking online classes with Full Sail University working on a "masters" in Digital Media something er another. ( I put masters in quotations because I think obtaining a masters degree online is a joke)
One aspect of his teaching he recived is of course web design and print design.. I am really reluctant to say how many times his portfolio has made me throw up in my mouth.
Is repeatedly producing slightly vomit inducing products common in Full Sail University students?
This same person refuses to heed my suggestions of taking what he learns in curriculem and expanding that knowledge by getting involved in and reading design blogs around the web.
He has got that "I'm already taking college classes, I don't need to be reading anything else.. it's not going to help. My work is already awesome!" attitude.
