I think i Fried my comp somehow. The regular charger aint workin' and it got so hot part of the outer plastic that holds the wires, close to the connections, melted off. Even if nothing happened to my computer, its dead now, and i've no way to charge it. The Universal aint even working. Is it Fried? Any way to fix/diagnose/At least check my comp? It's totally unresponsive. And Yes, I changed the battery to one that was charged just now........

If you put in a known working battery and no luck, then it's likely the computer shorted out the power supply or vice verse, you will almost certainly have to replace the motherboard on the laptop as well as the power supply.

eBay, and try and get a new PSU for it. Universal laptop power supplies are not worth the cheap plastic they are housed in - seriously every single one of these 'universal' PSU's I've used has been garbage - over heating, incorrect voltages, or often they just don't work at all. I actually fried a gaming laptop with one.

So use eBay, try and get the exact power unit for your laptop, or at least one that matches the amplitute and voltage and connector style (laptops tend not to have very unique PSU's, the PSU will cover a range of laptops).

Health, Ammo, and bacon and eggs!
