Since I don't have new models to show right now, I thought I'd give you guys these 2 billboard trees part of a little Plant and Tree pack.

It's not much, but they're useful for covering parts of outdoor scenes

4 polys each lol.

Download Plantlife Pack - Promo Billboard Trees.rar

very nice gencheff, but I have a question about the awesome night vision shader, is it possible to hit something like the H key and then have that shader appear? or not possible?

@ Soviet, in Project Blue you can call up a screen shader, but with V1.17, it isn't (yet, possibly) implemented.

And yes. It is going to be free

Gencheff, I must say, your models and media never cease to amaze me. After looking at the assault rifle you've created, I have but one quesstion: I can model guns, I believe, but for me texturing them is extremely difficult, so, could you teach me how to create textures like yours?

That's quite a long process , especially for high-poly models.

I can't point you to any tutorials, because I learn everything alone.Might be considered a bad habbit by some, but I just can't imitate someone else's style.

I guess a way to texture guns is to divide the uv map into a few main parts , create a template (I prefer Textporter for 3ds Max) and edit everything acording to the outlines in a program like Photoshop or Gimp.

BTW - I just have to show you guys the tall grass from the Plantlife pack.I just love how it blends with EFX Mod

No idea yet.Might just give it as a free bonus

The whole plantlife will be around 3 bucks, just to test out Splatterspawn lol.It would also beat the purpose of this being a prize in the stock games compo if it was free now wouldn't it

Still have a lot of trees and plants to make...It'll be well worth the 3 bucks

Ok comrade now I'm confused.

Bottom lines
-Plantlife is a Model Pack with trees, flowers, etc.
-I'm making it.
-It's stated as a prize on the Stock Media Competition in the FPS Chat section to the 1st and 2nd place.
-The whole thing will initially be 3 bucks at splatterspawn.

Ah, sorry, I am really tired today for some reason, thats pretty much what I was wondering, I think it will be a 3 bucks well spent comrade, just let us know when its done and I will be buying it.

The stock media compo is being run by Brunopark... It has no affiliation with Splatterspawn. I think what you are thinking of is this compo: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=174636&b=21

Sorry to spam the thread Genchef... Models are top notch (as I said before )

@anayar - no prob. mate

Now,since EAI doesn't allow the release of this rifle with his hands and animations,I decided to take matters into my own hands. The hands are still experimental and as you can see need fixing at the gripping points and I need to add some gloves, but you get the idea.

I think you can give away the animations Gencheff, just not the texture. So instead of killing yourself with trying to make new animated hands, just release the gun without the hand texture, that way people with the hand texture can just slap it in.

I think bootlicker released an entire pack of stock guns using EAI's animations and hand rigs, but the textures and sound were not included.

He did,but as far as I know , releasing this is not allowed.I don't want to get in trouble over a rifle.

I'll email EAI and get the final word. However it would be a good learning experience if I animate it myself.

It's not just redistributing the hand texture that's the problem - it's the hand mesh as well.

And yes. It's free

I thought the mesh was fine, just as long as it does not have the texture.

Releasing anything that's not 100% your creation is wrong; mesh, texture, animations....makes no difference. Confirmation of any agreement otherwise should be clearly stated.

@Gencheff: Don't mean to rain on your parade; but the last time I asked the Game Creators, no media packs created from Plant Life or TreeMagik could be released commercially. You may want to contact them as I did, about it.

I don't own Plant Life or TreeMagik. Plantlife is just the name I gave for a model pack MADE BY ME in 3dsMAX!

I'm sorry if it sounded the wrong way lol

I apologize for not being very specific.I just noticed the products TGC offers and can't blame nobody but myself for not looking well enough.

Maybe the name of the pack should be changed so further confusion doesn't occur...

I'm glad we're on the same page now

.. Well , the hands are rigged. You can see below an example of the fingers fixed.

I can safely say,I have the rigging part covered.I also messed around with some character animations (A boxer more specifically) and it turned out quite well,so this weapon shouldn't be a problem.

Hey, Gencheff, the arm models look pretty darn good. I was thinking, for the guns I'm making, we could use your arm models and textures for the animations. That'll be less for me to model, less for you to animate and texture, 'should we use them. But, I completely understand if you don't want to, as those are pretty high quality, so don't worry.

Considering I was going to release these with the GN22c1 / GL63,I don't see why not.

However they need some fixing around the palm area.I screwed up some part of the envelope apparently.

They also need some editing around the wrists. It looks too flat IMO right now.

I need to add another bone to each of the fingers as well,in order to make it look good on handguns, because right now it's only made for rifles.

sigh...too much darn work left

Thanks, this is great news.

As far as I can see from the screenie, they look nice, except of course for the point where the glove ends on the wrist. And yes, the extra bone will be needed for griping the tiny handles, and good luck with fixing the palms, I'm confident you can do it! haha

All in all, just know the textures and bone placement are still much better than I can do, as I haven't started increasing my knowledge in those areas quite yet. What you think is mediodcre, I think is just amazing.

Oh, and I almost forgot. Since you're helping me, I'd like to return the favor. When you finish your GN Rifle, and get it FPSC Ready, I can author your .gunspec. I'm a wiz at making ironsights (Learned how in about 2 nights).
