Nice start but you need more reference images. The top should start straight then go into a curve. I also reccommend you use chamfer for the curve.

ok i dropped the ak, got frustrated. ill try it again, and now im getting frustrated with this shotgun too, but i still am getting somewhere.

Its so hard for me,to try and join faces that have different X-Scaling
values because it makes it look like a mesh error (its not though), or just very blocky.

hehe, i was bored so i did a 1080p render of what i have (which is barely anything)

I wont [ img ] it for obvious size reasons

didnt do a wireframe (yet) but im 99.9% sure its all quads and a few tris. ill have to do a double check when im done, especially around the ejector.

and now im too tired to think of ways to join the faces of my grip and my receiver so im going to play a game or two and go to bed.

Then i get to get up, and go fix my uncles car, and hopefully be back by evening time to get more work done on this model.

I HATE BEING A SLOW MODELER

No problem

been busy with another low-LOW- detail big wheel for my character to ride on.
[edit]
yes i made it different objects, but for good reason to.
easy simple animation.

I hope this game comes out to be a fun little pick me up.

you can C&C if you want but fair warning, i made the whole bike low poly for a reason. (especially the wheels ;D)

here is the wire for all you hardcore CC'ers

[edit]

okay, i put my beaver on my bike.

The name is called Beaver Fever, and i will mount weapons on the big wheel when im ready to and it will be a zombie outbreak.

But it will be a light hearted game.

i will texture, but as of now, i dont have time, i have to throw something together soon.

Ok, Mega bump, but, i think what im posting is worth a bump

I know , i know, not very original, and its a gun, but i just had to get one gun right
I have the low poly turbosmoothed into the high poly and i am going to bake soon. I just have to unwrap it and texture it

I made each component of the gun with separate objects pretty much.

Comments and Criticism are much appreciated.
High Poly:

Low Poly(i know not alot of difference, but its the clay render):

And here is the wire in all of its edge loop glory:

make sure thats tris mang, and an FPS Weap can be around 5000 tris homie looks good, better gun than I can make. But I think for renders you should use standard scaline with spec at 40 and glossiness at 20 for the material. Looks a lot better.

Hahaha yah, im happy i modeled it separately now, it will make unwrapping just a little bit easier

Ive got the grip unwrapped but im really busy with school work atm so i can only really work on it at nights.

Thanks for the compliment henry

so im halfway done with uv mapping and i realized, wait a second, these are all still seperate objects.

Am i screwed?

Does max automatically merge the maps?

[edit]
nevermind

Mike told me it would work earlier today, but i didnt know how to apply it.

Just had to collapse modifiers and make both editable poly, then attach, and they retain uv info

Ok i never really got around to texturing the G36 because, i procrastinate, and i suck at texturing.

So here i started a fantasy style mushroom house.
its only 220 polys.

Been practicing modeling, got back into it after a few weeks of gaming.

This is what i came up with yesterday and rendered this morning. Im happy with the turnout.Another Bonus, its only 1,138 polygons.(i forgot to add smoothing groups to the trigger and hammers)

DUDE! That's sweet. Wish I could model as nice as you. Why doesn't the Gren launcher have a trigger?
The double-barrel shot gun looks freakishly smoothed though, maybe it's the material.

Haha thanks Eminent =3 You will be better then this one day

And the shotgun looks freakishly smooth (nice description lol) because of smoothing groups along with a chrome-ish material.

And i forgot about the trigger on the grenade launcher =3 will fix now
