one question...will i be able to provide update for my game...if the game is pack how can we update it(i mean adding new level, new gun)

You will need to repack and distribute to whom you need to. For example, I have a development where I added a couple of things at the client's request. Once completed, I repacked and sent to them, they ran the installer and everything was updated.

**Additional**

The only other solution would be for Vishnu Lock to import a set of generated serials when you did a repack. Then all you need to do is sent the repacked file(s) for your users to update and their current serial would still be valid.

@veer :- The only way you could do it at the moment would be to use an installer with vishnu lock you would not need to repack the 1gb file as you would just pack the update.

.....first time i tried to open it after packing Norton anti virus block it and quarantine it

then i have to disable anti virus to run it....

does this always happen

@ Veer,

It's what we call a "false positive" being sent to the anti virus application. I tested on a system using Norton and received the same issue. On another system using a different anti virus it was fine. For some reason when it goes to unpack, Norton thinks it is a virus due to the data being decrypted.

well not good if a costumer buy your product then...big warning sign from Norton...i need to mail them about this problem

You could provide documentation (or a manual) along with your product that describes the issue, such as a "false positive" that may appear from anti-virus. We have seen that method done on many products. Emailing the anti virus company is also a good start. Provide them with details to what you are using, how it works, what it does, etc. I've seen "false positives" from applications that run, such as the ATI catalyst application for our video card, and I know it is just an error on the anti virus application side.

The trick is you have to know how anti virus applications work and why it responds the way it does. Those of us that use applications such as Vishnu Lock or Packer also have the responsibility to ensure the system we are packing on for our customers/clients is virus free. Since I am an IT person by one of my trades, I already dismiss any "false positives" since the system I use is virus free and I know what application is running and why the anti virus may trigger the warning.

Either way, there is nothing that s4real can do to prevent something like this from happening. If you are creating products for customers/clients to purchase, it is a good idea to line up your "testers" to test out. Ensure one of them uses Norton, and another could be using another product such as AVG or whatever. Thorough testing should always be done before you pass your product into the public domain. This way you can specifically track down and localize the issue.

Vishnu lock was not designed to work with SGLauncher. It is a serial generator applet, designed to pack an installer or package that requires a serial number to be entered to install or run that deployment.

In case anyone asks, Vishnu-packed games do work with SGLauncher.

Here is what we do:

1. Build our game in FPSC
2. Pack game with Vishnu Packer
3. Configure SGLauncher using the packed game
4. Pack step 3 output with Vishnu Lock to generate serial number

It works fine for us, as we have deployments that have gone to private clients using the above steps and there are no issues. So I'm not sure what issue you might be having.

You can't just "add" one app into another, as they are coded in two different interfaces by two different people.

SGLauncher is used to configure an interface; Vishnu Packer is used to pack your built FPSC Game; Vishnu Lock is used to take all of it and attach a serial number to the package. We use all three extensively and know they can all work together if you do the steps in the correct order and know what each does.

@DennisW It just a feature to add website to the app and it would show up in a window.

You could have ads on the page to build money for your free game before playing the game.

Also it would show the site in a windows with like a play button option but this would be like an option.
