So, what do you guys think of it? Nice look, no errors that I've found so far. The theme might look like a copy of chrome, tho, but that's just me.

It's IE. Therefore any other browser except SlimBrowser is superior...

Meh.

At least they've seen sense and started chasing standards rather than stupid IE-only features though.

I'm interesting in checking out the hardware accelerated browsing.

Nice beta and IE is really improving but I will always stick to Google Chrome, I love Google Chrome!

I tried to install it earlier, but then they told me I needed to download a whole bunch of Win 7 updates and I really couldn't be bothered.

So I looked at an image, and I don't like the way they've put the address bar and tabs on the same level. I'll stick to Firefox.

Chrome is OK, but I'm an interface person. I need buttons and bars and pretty pictures.

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.

But only on Windows, which somewhat defeats the object of it

I use Safari on Windows, and so do a few others that I know.

However, I do find it surprising that it doesn't work with Mac.

Nah, I mean the fact Moz and Google are implementing cross-platform layers for their HW accel is going to leave Safari behind quite a bit. That and the fact Safari actively targets >1 platform. IE can get away with Windows-only features because MS don't care about portability

I'm upset that it won't work on XP

You have been erased by a mod because you're larger than 600x120

That's one thing I was surprised by. I guess compatability with XP is gonna be shot down completely someday, but maybe it's just a beta thing.

intelligent addition to the conversation

I found it was actually quite slow, and a lot of websites still refused to load in IE and ran perfectly in Chrome

Its undoubtful that when the full release comes out they'll go on about HTML5 and CSS3 like it was invented yesterday, whilst in actual fact every other browser has had it for millenia

IE 9 is pretty good. It's faster than Firefox, and (IMO) looks better than Chrome.

It's a beta though, so it still has some issues:

-Menus not always showing up correctly (Even on Zune.net!)
-Buttons sometimes not visible
-Occasional freeze-ups.

Once these problems are fixed it could become my preferred browser.

The hardware acceleration is pretty awesome:

How can something look better than chrome? There's nothing to see.
