Notice that when you stand on the illuminated patch, the door lifts. When you run for the door, it shuts before you can get there. Probably made to fool you into thinking you could escape the room, or at least save the ball. After a while, you then give up. Ah well.

ya. 3 or 4 years back when that was new I played it for like an hour before checking the code. Wasn't that also called the rain demo?

at the time I thought that was the coolest demo. Also, does anyone know what happend to Lee's 24 hour development demo? It was a racing game if I recall.

I remember playing that for hours too, then i finally realised the point, you can't after some tweaking though, making the spider faster etc i finally escaped and there was nothing outside but 3D space

well for the racing game i think that is just a running. Is it the Cave Runner one? cause that is just running through whatever you are running to. You bump into the walls, you restart at the beginning.

Oh yeah! I'm new to DarkBASIC because i'm doing this for my senior project for school. I don't get a single thing of it. And my proposal is due on this friday.

Please help the beginner newbie!!

ok so you are wanting to program a game. start out first by going to http://www.matedit.com download matedit at the download place. ok after the down load click on it and go to zone demo or create your own and edit it. After you are done with that press space and there is a link at the bottom of the page that says transform to dark basic code or something like that. click on it, and then go to darkbasic and go to file and click load file or whatever. then click parent until you see c\: then look for matedit (if you saved it that way) click on it. then click on projects. then look for zone demo if that is where you saved it or what what ever you had it at. (note: it will have a darkbasic triangle if it is from dark basic) click on it and then press f5. if you want to learn more email me at [email protected] or get my aol instant messenger
