It's okay so far, I would like the the bit that sounds like a triangle to be more different to the main tune. Are you going to put a melody on top of this?

That pan flute? Possibly...a melody, if I can figure one out.

It's not bad, but it's not terribly original either. It has a nice feel, I'd like to see what it develops into.

Although for a 'song' I'd expect lyrics.

Listen to the composition of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHYhRz-ZFss

This has lots of harmonies where instruments go off in different directions. In your song everything is very linear.

Do you know we now have a music and sound effects board?

PS I didn't mean the panpipes but they sound the same too, do you see what I mean, every instrument plays the same notes at the moment. If you cook up some alternatives while keeping in key it will give a "fuller" sound to the music.

A song is for singing (clue is in the name), so if there are no vocals whatsoever it's called something else like a tune, etc.

A composition.

OK, if I have one tip it's Chords Chords Chords Harmonies Harmonies Harmonies. Every instrument seems to be playing the same riff right now and it's kinda dull, if the violin at the start played a different harmony line to the piano that would be pretty cool.

Also, kind of a pet peeve, but I find the "Four bars, add an instrument, another four, add an instrument, another four, add an instrument" structure kind of dull. Try to vary the peice up with harmonies and rhythms, and then add in instruments when you want a dramatic bit.

You can get further with a smile and a gun than you can with just a smile.

Yeah I need to fix the flow of it, but I usually don't do classical stuff, my main focus is more electronic (attached)

and the audio board is for sound effects isint it?

I thought there was a melody in there...

Sounds nice! um thought when it comes to the fourth part I think a bit of bass would give a bit more understanding to the song.

Hey DJ Almix do you have any other songs you can show... i'm going to be making a song and I like how the beginning was on your song and I might set that into a song some were, may be you have more ideas I can use?

I dont know how to spell

I'm lovin' it now

Some of the 'Dingy' (Don't know how to describe it, the triangle thing I guess) notes sound a bit off, but it flows nicer now. I agree with slayer, bit of bass might be nice.

Not bad, DJ Almix. But, I would definately add some distorted guitarrifs to it. hahaaa!
No, but I think that you need to make the first string riff longer. Or make it reappear more than once in the song. It is catchy, so you need to make use of that. It feels like it needs more structure. Anyways, I did something on my own with that first riff of yours. It's more house/trance sort of stuff. Hope you don't mind? Here it is:

It's sounding good, the melody (piano) could use a bit of a reworking, it seems a bit stiff, like it keeps pausing for the beats when IMO I think it would sound better if it flowed more over the beats, and some of the notes in the melody sound a bit off.
It's starting to sound really cool though sounding a lot like Final Fantasy too lol.

What is this for by the way? If it's a game, what kind of game?

Bass is a bit overpowering at some points, i really started to like it at around 1 minute, although maybe you could make the bass have tone? if that makes any sense, it just takes away from the song when the bass plays the same note and the other tones are changing, although instead of making it pitch up, make it go down.

And with the overpowering, most bass systems will take care of that effect, so dont make it to where the bass is waayy above the song.

hope this helped in some way.

Love the melody, but the gain is quite high and the track seems distorted at louder points.

EDIT: Also, maybe alternating some effects between left and right speakers could be cool. Like a background buildup that starts on the left speaker and pans towards the right.

Redoing my entire website... again. EDIT: Finished it! Whew.

Probably because the track was only exported at 128 kbs

Good idea

Also,

I don't have any formal music training what-so-ever, so explain to me what certain specialized terms are if you post them

I must agree with my friend btw (i thought this song was so good, i just had to send it to my friend^^) he says, the feeling of this song is a bit, say it is an adventure game, somewhere between the middle and the end. You are entering a town and there is this new fresh and just happy feeling.

^^ i hope you will finish this song and possibly make more in the future?

I am going to consider creating a whole album of "epic" style music. Will give me a break from electronic

It starts to sound a lot better, but there are a few things that I would adjust.
Firstly, the intro needs to be lower in volume, and also another, softer instrument. Maybe add some vibrato to it, a bit of reverb, just to make it more dreamy. Maybe even set it an octave lower or higher (depending on the instrument you use). Just make sure it doesn't overpower the other melodies that are more important.
Secondly, don't cut the first part (at 0.20) when the second melody is playing. Let it continue and blend into the part where the cymbal plays (at 0.27).
Also, it seems like the 'choirs' between 1.59 and 2.03 are a bit out of tone with the other instruments.
And, maybe let the ending be more fluidly, and not so abrupt.
Other than that, it's really starting to sound great.
Oh yah, one more thing, don't be afraid to add stereo in your music. By that I mean, give your instruments a place in your songs (left, right, centered...).

I rarely comment on things like this but .... *drum roll*
Very nice !
My only complaint is that there are parts that are heavily compressed so the listener does not get the full impact of it.

Sounds great! Thanks for bumping quik lol
I agree that the sound is a bit distorted in places but like you said this is probably because of the small file size. One thing I'd add is that one or two notes are off in the loud piano melody that comes in after a while. Listen to it carefully and you'll hear that they are slightly flat. This kind of thing can be really annoying and you'll just have to play around until you find a note that fits better. Do you know what key the melody is in? A quick way to find a note that fits is to just use one that's in the key or in the key it changes to.

if you have the extra cash you could buy some recording software that would be great for this kind of stuff then you could have super high quality but the cost would be hard drive space (files that are high sampling rate and bitrate are extremely large)

Well done, DJ Almix! Eye of a God has turned out to be a great song. The ending is a bit too abrupt, and there could be some little improvements, but other than that, great work! I like it!
Now, the song called 'Untitled' (hahaha ), man, I like it even more!! This is a great beginning! Don't mess it up, okay??
Nice work!
