I get this message repeatedly when I visit some threads on geek culture... anyone know how that happened, maybe an ad?

Where is this message coming from? Some anti-malware software you have installed?

I just had this same thing with one of the threads here.

Said something about content frome home.no . Aparently it's a Google Chrome thing.

Seems like it came from some users' avatar images, harmless but somewhat irritating considering how many threads it appears on...

Yea, looks like it's Lukas W's avatar. That message comes up on the "You know you program too much.." thread for me.

That's weird because I also use Chrome and have never had that show up on the forums.

Yeah, this actually happens a lot. It's almost always somebodies avatar as well. All that happens is the avatar is hosted on a website that isn't considered safe, so any time the avatar is loaded the warning is triggered.

It can be a pain in the rear when the topic you want happens to have an avatar that throws one of those warnings...

(apologies for slight bump)

I have the latest version of Chrome, and I'm not getting any warnings, even when copying and going to the home.no thing in the address bar. Maybe a glitch in previous versions of Chrome caused the warning to appear when it shouldn't have?

Yeah, possibly. It's a small annoyance though, easily ignored. Also sort of related, all the google ad bot posts seem to be broken XD
