Here's me thinking one of them is saying:

"Why do I get to be Mr Pink?"

That's a given! - look what happend to The Office , I have no idea why that show is so popular in the US. But as car programmes go, there is nothing even close to Top Gear, I can't even think of another motoring programme with remotely likable presenters.

While I agree that most British shows are better,

I don't find that to be the case with The Office. I mean you guys can say and do more, but you don't everything is soooo...monotone.

Hehe, the Office was intended to be a mockumentary - so it's supposed to be realistic people, but with rediculous behaviour. It's a cringe program, because everyone has worked with someone just like David Brent. That was the whole point of The Office, a realistic sit-com mockumentary, Brits laugh hardest at ourselves.

The US versions seems so much more mainstream, the characters have no character, the even messed up the love interest. US office is very different, all ties should be broken .

I think the Inbetweeners is like a rip off of the big bang theory, and we all know which on is better.

I worked with a guy who looked and acted just like Sheldon from Big Bang.

Big Bang Theory is awesome, probably my favorite US comedy show. Sheldon is easily the funniest characters, in fact Sheldon in the ball pool is about the funniest thing I've ever seen. Inbetweeners is pretty good, really good compared to those other teen comedy shows.

Nothing is better than Trailer Park Boys tho, best thing to ever come out of Canada...seriously adults only check this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2G3fPJFMA0

''I am squishing your head!''
I'm sure that a lot of the cast were Canadian, but I'm not sure if it was a Canadian-produced programme. That was an important programme tho, before that sketch shows were all a bit tedious - KITH had sketches about alcoholics and stuff like that, was almost like a Canadian Monty Python. It influenced a lot of shows that came after it, that's for sure.

I am extremely proud of Britain for Top Gear, the Inbetweeners and Mock the Week...

Anyway, I also love Family Guy, South Park, Two and a Half Men, Mike and Molly, and American Dad...

I think you guys definitely do better cartoons, but we do the live action stuff much more geniously. Top Gear USA will be made or broken by it's budget, as Top Gear is all about huge spectacles, driving a supercar across Europe, flying a Reliant Robin into space, and firing a Mini down a ski ramp...

If they just drive some nice cars they've failed. Top Gear is all about mad ideas for things to do with cars...

errr, Top Gear is already popular in the US, isn't it? Why would I watch a dumbed down version when I already watch the original??

I just fear the US version will review pickups as often as UK reviews Ferraris.

That's my thought. I hope it's not hosted by a bunch of rednecks. I don't want to talk about the UK version of top gear and be thought of as a redneck. Top Gear UK is high brow afterall!

BBT was great until this current season. It's so over-the-top and typically for American shows they overdid it. Sheldon is very annoying and unrealistic now.

True! That's my favourite show Kids in the Hall and SCTV were the greatest Canadian shows before Trail Park Boys in my opinion.
