Recommended System requirements

Processor: A dual or a quad core CPU.

A graphics card: Minimum Nvidia 7+ Series or similar ATI card with at least 256MB Video Ram.

Memory: 2GB Ram

Hard Drive space: 1GB

Note: This will run on a single core machine, but it does lag. You could disable the shaders to make it work better, but you will find that the game will not look as nice.

It's a good game but little things can make it so much better
and its sometimes fun but it needs the OMG parts that make you keep playing but for FPSC it's fine

Story: 8/10
Game play: 2/10
Graphics: 7/10
Environment: 9/10

As said before that it is an FPSC game and nothing mind blowing really. The environment was excellent though!

The thing that ruined this game was the AI. They would aim bot and do so much damage. I mean there are in some rags and you are in a suit of armor. They practically kill you when you fight them. I know that you had the characters spawn at certain points so there would be no lag. It was kind of obvious that they would spawn because they weren't always hidden (ie they would spawn right in front of you. No iron sights which was a bummer.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Here is the chat script I used which was created by Benjamin Aeilkema:

I have found a script which allows the player to select from three different tracks, but I'm not 100% how it works yet.

Played it again, and I have to say, the level design it really good, with a lot of custom media as well. I would like to see the use of iron sites and also maybe some Dark AI Allie fight scenes.

@Soviet176

I had planned to use the iron sites, but they don't work well when you need to pick up a box, which this game needed.

After this game is 100% I have the second part of the game almost finish and I will be starting another project which is going to be an allout war, but in the same world as this game. Well thats the plan.

Thanks for playing game Soviet176

@PekelaarSFX

Sorry you can't play the game. Have you tried to disable the shader effects and see if it would run?

Framerate is helped greatly by 117's timer system.

Thanks for the great comments guys. I'm glad you like it.

I'm currently working on the second part of this game, so hopefully be able to put up a WIP thread for it after Christmas all being well.

Judge Dread game is one of my fav games, I still have my copy. You know I think I'll install it

I like the use of ships flying above the starting area, it gives a feeling that outside the high walls there is more than just the skybox and it feels more inhabited.

Didn't see that, sorry . Look at the name right under Benjamin's, lol. Multi-Talk was made by me . It was a heavily modded derivative of Benjamin's script which just put text up on the screen when you approach a character. It was so heavily modded that it's barely recognizable compared to his original (here):

I just felt it right to credit him too Just thought you should know

Looks sweet, downloading now.

The section in the map with the water falling down, it reacts like a solid object, player can't walk through the water. The game looks real nice and reminds me of Unreal. I would say the movement is a bit too slow.

At best, I hit 26fps, typically less than 20 in most areas.

I'd say your system requirements are way off for the game to be playable.

Looks nice, good job! But I wondred a little why the People around were standing with there backs towards You, LOL! Perhaps You courld add some kind of "ManDoingHisWorkAnimation" if they are just People around. Kind a weird if they just standing there looking into a wall.. Anyway What I have seen of this little "demo", You seems very talanted..

Another thing, it looks a bit like those ships/drones whatever are running forward and backward over the space village, I think it wourld look better if they disappeared otherwise i may look like a boring animation loop...
(Ill help You if You need it)

Guess what Aiko and I did this weekend...

Nice to see you made it to the final version, and sorry that I didn't write a review, but I just didn't find the time

Deathcow you really need to take this one over to STEAM. I think you have your self a game with real commerical qaulity. I seriously think this game could make alot of money. This was very well written, with clean gfx and a very nice storyline that could allow for a second version to be released.

Here is the link and info to sell your game to STEAM if you need it.

http://www.steampowered.com/steamworks/publishingservices.php

Highly recomend you try at lest to see if Steam will sell it. This is better then most of the games they currently sell I think at lest.

Thanks for thinking that my game is good. I will look into it, but I don't think they would be interested in my game. This is my first complete game that I have released to buy and at the moment I'm looking at trying to release it on Gamersgate. Not even sure if they are interested, but I will wait and see. The only website I am selling it on is Lulu.com so that it is available to buy on my website www.squadron-aiu.co.uk
Once again thanks for thinking it could sell on Steam.

Hi All

I have now decided to release my game as a free to download game. You can download it from Filefront.

http://www.filefront.com/17795902/Dark-Storm-Setup-build-4.exe/

I was hoping that one of the Mods could change the title of this thread to: Squadron AIU - Dark Storm - Full Game

Please let me know what you think?
