Rest in peace. Died today, 84 years old. One of the best actors ever. In case you don't know he played in Airplane, Naked Gun, other movies, and the newest one Superhero Movie. He was hilarious and did a great job with comedy. He will be missed by me. Anyone else sad about this?

nielson's comedy was never a favorite of mine but you gotta respect a guy with a resume (and following) like his. i'm curious about his other/earlier work? dramas and westerns, etc. any suggestions/favorites there?

"Boat"
*"Yes, once you get better we will go sailing together, just like we use to."
"I love you."
*"I love you too Nordberg.."
"Drugs"
*"NURSE! This man is in pain, get him some drugs!"
"No. Heroine.."
*"That's a pretty tall order, you may want to give me a while on that one."

My fav naked gun scene is where there is a bomb that is going to blow up the building and when it gets to 1 second left, they decide to run (because they couldnt stop it), and he trips over the power cord for the bomb lol.. (pulling it out and disabling the bomb).

Can anyone find that on youtube?

Smoke me a kipper, ill be back for breakfast.

He was also in Forbidden Planet?

That film looks like it might have spawned the Star Trek series.

I'm sure he was in a TV cop/detective series but I can't think which one.

Yes, he'll be missed - especially by us Naked Gun enthusiasts.

He was "Swamp Fox" when I was a kid. A Disney TV series that would not likely have been broadcast in UK because it involved what would now be called "guerrilla" warfare by Americans against the British during the American Revolution.
