I think that's because I've a permanent joy on my 2 pc.
In fact, I've got a WII pad detected by the bluetooth. So because of my code, the program did always detect the second pad, and the second pad is my usb pad on my pc.
That's why it worked for me but not for you...
But the only way to know it is to test my last WIP demo

Looks really good, sports games created with DarkBASIC Pro is something I haven't seen explored a whole lot. Keep up the good work!

rem allow user create game with one click
rem create graphics, sound, scripts, models, with one click
rem slap user in face if game choice is mmo

Hi !
A new video ! But I'm very happy because on this video, it's a PC versus PC game ! I'm vert happy of what I've done even if it's not perfect !
You could see a goal a the end of the video and a very embarassing bug : the ball is going through the net pfffffff
Any critics about the AI is welcome !!!!

Hi all !
Just a little word to say I'm working on free kicks and penaltys.
It took me more time than I thought because of a lot of bugs in the animations, AI, etc.
Be patient and if all is ok, I'll post a new demo before the end of this week

downloaded and played.

what i've to say, you know your game has a perfect engine, good animations, and the graphics suit the game, and fouls, free kicks, very nice, very professional.

but there are 2 way you can make this game, one way is to make a game you like to play, and the other way is to make a game the most here like to play.

dear friend you asked C&C.... ok.

i played just for one minute, then pressed esc, because:

1) AI of the pc don't let you play and have any fun, too hard, too perfect, too "what the hell, fu*k this game", there isn't any way i reload this game as it is now! mortyfing......

2) there is a why you can't have the ball on your feet? do you think your game will be so ugly if the player can control the ball? the player kicks in auto the ball in randomly way when it is running, i've no idea how to pass, and all these things turn the game REALLY nasty! it's a pity but randomly kick a bit the ball isn't a good idea for sure.

3) i think players are still cyborg. they aren't rally cars on a track, they are men.

don't feel downhearted now, i'm not the user who write as default "great game keep it up" without having played the game, just to be nice but without giving you a direction to follow.

this game is a really hot piece of db code, but without playability, it's nothing! And listen to me, you are the worst user to have any though on your game playability because you're too much trained to your game, you're an ace with KO11, you know all of your game, and it seems i'm the only here playing your demos.

it's normal dbgames on this forum are really hard, sometimes unplayable, because coders here always test the game by themselves.

Apologies ! I'm so sorry... I was so hurry to post a demo that.. erf... it was a very very bad wip (((
So I took my time and I've changed all the gameplay !
Sorry Ermes for the wait, but it was as such shame to post a so silly wip...
In this new demo, you can change the AI for the teams controled by pc, and change the players global speed for each team...
And I've add penalties.
This version is much much better and playable than the others.

I see the same problems of the previous demo,? no difference. selected "1" for the speed and the AI, and the first action of the PC was an incredible Goal, from a player running fast like a train.
i was thinking with "1-easy" and "1-slow" to play versus a team of blinds and cripples, but no, i am always the blind and cripple at your game!

my advice is to let play some of your friends with this demo, and watch what they do. you'll be surprised to see they can't make a single action!

sorry but i don't like the player don't keep the ball on their feet. you don't know when you will lose control of the ball with your system of control.

Reduce the zoom level, players are too big and field view is too close. play kickoff on your emulator and make some maths with proportions! i play with a res of 1680x1050, no field view up and down.

game worths to be upgraded and trimmed. keep it up!

(you need to make some rnd to AI, sometimes PC AI has to stop and let you go. now you've a team of Terminators!!!)

Hi man !
I'll post tonight a version with a sticky ball! Youd won't have to reload of the files, just the exe
But I'm curious : if you put an AI of 1 for the pc (team 2) and a Speed of 1 for the team 2 and a speed of 5 for your team(team 1), you must notice the difference ?

hi, i placed all to 1, and i didn't nocide any gameplay difference from the previous demo.

i think sticky ball is only one of the things to be trimmed, what about my idea to hire some test players (some friends of yours...) and whatch how they play to your game? 5 minutes of this is better than 100 of our posts about gameplay.

if not, no problem i will test every demo posted in this wip!

Try this version please : i think it's more playable even if it's not perfect.

In this zip file, there is the exe. Erase the previous one and put this one in the repertory

My friends are not very interested by video games But you know, you'are my best tester dear italian friend

For memories : button 1 is for kicking(hold it and release it when you want to kick!), tackling and heading
Button 2 is for passing : hold it and release it as soon as you are in the direction of a teammate.

Hope this version is more playable. Level 1 for the AI is for a very silly opponent team. Try with 1 as speed for both teams for slow players.

ok, this time is a good start.

BUT:
player anim too fast, ball is moving to fast, kicks are over mach 4, (!!) and you have to wach your movement > waypoint system, often there are more than 2 players going to the ball, leaving uncovered the rest of the field.

as Coach, you'll be fired in a day!

difficulty is good, yes it can be played. keep it up.

anyway you need to reduce a bit more the min speed of the player i think.

ah, i would like to start a player manager ko clone, i love that old rpg soccer game of dino dini.
your game inspired me sbuzz, 19 years ago for Amiga it was released PlayerManager, the greatest soccer game i ever played so far.

Sensible World of Soccer on Amiga was the best footy game ever.

Kick off was great too, and nothing else surpases it but Sensi Soccer.

This WIP is looking cracking mate .... Keep it up.

If you build it, they will come.

Hi !
After a long moment, I'm back ^^
So, what's up ?
1) A lot of bugs fixed
2) Players have different abilities and their own physic(hair, skin...) A better player will shoot and passe with more precision etc..
3) Each player has his number on his t-shirt.
4) Statistics are available (look under the scoreboard on the video)
5) Substitutions are ready.
6) In this WIP, five teams are present : Manchester UTD, Barcelona FC, Milan AC, Olympique Marseille and FC Metz. Players of each team are more or less efficient on a field.
7) Each Team have 2 suits : home and away.
Here is a vidéo of a complete game between Metz and Barcelona.
Hope you enjoy it. I think I'll post the demo next week

NEW DEMO !



Hi everybody. A new demo is now available !
I hope some of you will download it and test it. This is an advanced demo by now but there are still some bugs and undone work.
In the menu you could choose to match against the computer or another player. Be sure to have at least one pad connected to your pc.
You could choose one the five european teams that are in the demo and the duration of a half time, but not the field or the weather conditions.
Against the pc you can choose the AI level of the opponent team.
At the presentation of the two teams, you can skip this step by pressing SPACE.
During the game, you can make substitutions. Substitutions are not completely done, so it can lead to bugs and, maybe, crashes.
The commands are the same that in the beginning of my prohects :
Button 1 to shoot(power depends of how long you press button1), to takle or make a head.
The pad gives you control of the aftertouch after a shoot.
Button 2 is for passing : hold it when you have the ball and release it in the direction you want the pass to go.
Keepers are controled by pc, always.
On free kicks with wall, choose the direction and the height of the shoot and hold button 1 to choose the power of the kick.
Same control for corners.
Free kicks without a wall are done automaticaly.
Throw in are made by choosing a direction and the power with button 1.
Penalies : you will see an arrow that moves from left to right. The arrow will have his size changing during this moment. Higness of the kick depends of the size of the arrow. Press button 1 at the good moment.
In the team management menu, that you can call by pressing space during the game, you can make subsitutions(be careful of the bugs...), change your strategy (not in this demo).
In this demo I've add the referee. Animations for yellow and red cards are not done.
Players can be expulsed after a foul, but in this demo no one can be hurt.
I've added offsides too but they are not perfect by now.
You could see that each player has his number on his shirt and each player has different skin and hair colors.
Hope you enjoy. And please, again, download it and let me know what I've got to improve, what is good and what is bad...
