Hey, so i thought this would be a good place to post this: my laptop has weird issues with its battery and charger. I shouldn't say 'battery' issues, because we just a got a brand new one the other day. (my old one took all day to charge and lasted about 5 min) The issue is that my laptop run fine, does great, and the cpu usage is at about 4% at the desktop---on the charger. i take it off the charger, it keeps performing just the same, until about 2 to 3 minutes later, it begins to run extremely slowly, the cpu usage rockets up to 100%, and the computer throws a fit until it gets the electricity it's hungry for. in other words, i plug it in and i goes totally normal again. also, if my pc wakes up from hibernation or sleep when it's not on battery, it does fine, only sometimes when starting up. i did research, and it cant be the battery, so it might be a power supply issue or a bios driver issue--im not sure. it is an hp pavilion dv6, and it's still under warranty. it's getting somewhat annoying because we just got a new battery and i cant take advantage of it:\ thanks for your help

What OS are you using?
Mind posting what your power settings are all set to? (both plugged in and on battery)

windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I have the on battery maximum usage set to 20%, and on power 100%, but when i changed battery to 100, it made no difference... both have a custom plan of mine.
