It's been so long since I've used FPSC. When creating levels, I notice that when I give enemies a sniper rifle, they don't open fire on me until I get right up close to them. I adjust the field of view and even tried the default "snipe" shoot script to see if that would do anything but it didn't.It feels really strange having to get within 10 feet of a guy with a sniper rifle to be able to shoot me.

What makes the problem even more noticeable is the DarkAI scripts. I create a flat plane map, have an ally with a sniper rifle, and an enemy with smg. My ally carefully follows the target and aims at him, but will not open fire unless I get him to follow me to get right up close to the enemy.

I'm wondering if there's a script I'm not seeing which would allow an enemy to engage you from a realistically long range

What do I need to edit in the regular shoot script to alter the distance that enemies open fire from? I'd like a more realistic distance.

I also use 1.17. I'm jealous haha, I'd prefer them shooting across the map for the particular map I'm making.

Even "snipe" doesn't do anything. I tried adjusting the "playerdistancewithin" number but that didn't seem to do anything, its really awkward staring at my enemy only to have him stare back at me pointing his gun.

Really limits the types of games I can make.
