Greetings everyone .....

Yesterday I watched " My name is Khan " , It can't be descriped except with 1 word : Outstanding ....
The film is just ... incredible , It handles a lot of cases that I couldn't judge at , and it really changed my view of life totally ....

The film tells the story of an indian muslim man that has Asperger syndrome . His mother teaches him about life and tells him in one of the greatest scenes I watched ever that there's no difference between people except for the deeds they do in their life , and we must not ever seperate between humans judging by anything else than that ....
The story continues after Khan's mother dies and he moves to America where his broher lives , he meets Mandira : A very nice , beautiful and kind woman , She is an indian hindu woman and She is surprised with his innocence and naturality , so she marries him .
The movie turns dramaticly when Mandira's son from her Ex. husband dies due to his father being muslim , Which hurts Mandira a lot that she told Khan not to go back home until he meets the president of US and tells him that he is not a terrorist , neither his son was .
Khan travels through his journey where he inspires the whole world , reporting for terrorists , giving donations to the christians of Africa , getting prisoned and tortured due to thoughts of him being a terrorist and helping a village facing a deadly storm , While he was in that village , he gets stapped by one of the people who supports the terrorist he reported them to FBI , But he heals and gets out of the hospital .
Mandira forgives him and ask him to go home , But he insists to meet The president and he does , telling him the message he wanted all along the movie :
" My name is Khan , And I'm not a terrorist .... "

That movie had changed my point of life , and kept me thinking until now , It made me laugh sometimes , cry some other times , It touched my soul deeply and answered a lot of my questions .

Had you watched any movies that affected you ? Changed your point of life ? Pushed you to think and flew with you over the rotten seas of this life , to show you the beautiful clouds of feeling and humanity ?
Waiting for your posts .....

Thanks and Cheers

yesturday i watched Zeitgeist and Zeitgeist addendrum. not sure how much is the truth and how much is a lie but the overall point of the movies makes sence and i was just BLOWN AWAY. while i was mildly aware of the problems out society faces today this movie seemed to expose everything and answer so many questions. completley rewired my brain. i think everyone should watch these movies (they are also working on a third one Zeitgest moving forward) what you make of them is all up to you but you still should watch it.

INCEPTION. This whole movie makes you think about the secrets of the world, if the life we're living is all just a dream.

Good Will Hunting. I don't really know why, but it's a really good movie.

Inception is a very good movie , although I didn't have the chance but to watch the first 30 minutes ... It messed with my mind alot and I'm attending to watch it next week-end .
Zeitgeist ? never heard of such a movie , What is it about ? You clerified nearly nothing .

Nice posts guys , but I was wondering about the 2 that said Mr Bean and Spongebob , It's really too .... um .. uh . Can't find a word .
You can't be serious , right ?

I like just about anything by Adam Curtis (Documentaries, but he always refers to them as films so ), I wouldn't say any of his work has changed my 'point of life', but they have made me more interested in politics and what goes on in the world.

Warning: Contains some bad language at the start.

His blog is good too http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/adamcurtis/.

I like these videos and the blog , It gives you politics in an interesting way that makes you want to know more , And he was absoulotly right : Politics shows are very boring ...

The point of this thread is to show movies and vidoes that you liked alot , I was just telling my own experience with a movie , That's all . It's really rare to watch a movie that is good enough to touch your soul , But it's what happened to me .

Cheers

well its pretty much about the overall history and state of society and how the US economy functions (history of the us monatery sytem) and there is a whole bunch of political stuff there too but i wont discuss it here as politics are not allowed. But these movies (zeitgest and zeitgeist addendrum) just blew my mind, the next day i woke up i started looking at everything differently, It definatley changed me. now what i have told you about these movies here are just a tip of the iceburg. There is much much more in those movies. Maybe it had such an impact on me becuse i really did not know about any of the stuff. The next day i started digging on the web on stuff and realised that i was really ignorant about so many things. i wont say more as i dont want to spoil anything for people who want to watch it.

its been like 2 days since i watched these documentaries and my brain is still (very obsessivley) processing all the content of those movies. (damn 500mhz brain )

i think notch made the universe. i mean, we never know when its going to end, but there is really no point in trying so we might as well hole up for the night and light a fire. And not get ssSSSsssploded.

@Norion:
Forest Gumb ... A very good movie indeed , It's one of my favourite actully , watched it many times .
BTW waiting for your E-mail man , It was too long since we last talked to each other .

@Van B:
I watched the trailers of the 3 movies , They all seem great , espicially " Into The Wild " , I love Client Eastwood movies BTW and Gran Torino seems so good . I also read about A Clockwork Orange in some articles in my country , It pictures the dark future we will face if we don't act IMO , but the name of the movie was written in Arabic so I didn't know what the exact name is , now I know .

Cheers

Funky Forest

It changed my outlook on life, and I will never be the same. Go on YouTube and do a search for Funky Forest. The weirdest, most disgusting, most random in film history.

Leaving Las Vegas.

Some days I wake up and feel like doing the same thing but wasting your life isn't really that cool.

@Van B: Into The Wild is such a great movie. Just mentioning it makes me want to watch it again.

Zeitgeist Addendum was very mind opening for me as well.

Edit: Donnie Darko's also one of those movies that sticks on your mind. Same goes for Requiem for a Dream. They're very different from one another, but leave you pondering for quite a while after.

One that didn't exactly change my way of thinking, but still stands as being one of the most hilarious and unique movies I've seen; Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Awesome movie.

@Roger Wilco:
I watched Donnie Darko , I didn't like it that much .. It seemed to me bad . It has a good story and overall point but the directing and screenplay ruined it and made it extremely boring IMO .

@Jeku:
Funky Forest is a Japanese Movie , right ? I saw some scenes and it seems so trivial , Is it really worth watching ?

Cheers
