I am making a 3d game. Right now, I have a Plain and assigned keys to movement, just to get my bearings. When it runs, as I am looking at it,on the plain:
-x to the left
+x to the right
-y closest side of plain
+y farthest side of plain
+z down
-z up

All of them seem correct except z. It seems backwards. Is it, or is it correct. Just want to make sure I am not on the wrong side of the plain.

Thanks

Try switching your y with your z.
Some programs interchange these.
What program are you using?

My computer surpasses all the technologies of the day. What computer do I have?

Im pretty sure thats common with most. Blender uses y for depth and z for height, but for the most part general 3d concept uses the z axis as depth axis.

Fortunately Kiras scripts 2.49/2.54 take care of that so i dont even have to worry when using .x files. Im personally used to it as blender is what i used most.
