The content aware fill sometimes works magically, and sometimes doesn't work at all.
I'll tell you what content aware fill absolutely excels at, is making textures seamless. It's pretty insane how fast you can fill in areas that blend perfectly with a few mouse clicks. Much better than using the mushy clone stamp tool.
Puppet warp is also great for seamless textures. Say you have this great brick wall texture that has some camera barrel distortion. Those are a bitch to make seamless. But just place a few puppet-warp anchors and it's a cinch to make those lines perfectly straight.
