Its pretty sad. Over the years Ive collected a lot of projects that I wish I could have finished, but instead have been left on my hard drive in old compressed back ups. I went through and found some of the better ones and put them into a video collection. Please give this a watch. It was a trip down memory lane for me.

If anyone sees anything they like, let me know.

Woh!!! some of that looks really clean!

As for it being sad... I don't really see how it's sad. You probably got a ton of practice, and now you have a good amount to show off.

I can't write anything more detailed, but the one thing that would be awesome if you finished is slime '09 (well... not '09 now xD)

I love slime volleyball with a passion!!!!!!

Desktop destruction looks awesome! I remember having somthing similar called Stress Relief but it was always a bit nff, not very fun. Yours looks way better.

Edit: I'm sure I've seen Cube Fly before somewhere too.

"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." That's a bit like saying Hey bullies! So yeah, this words thing isn't working, but I'll tell you what will

I know this feeling all too well. Many potentially great games shelved.

What I noticed in your vid is that most of the games use the same basic principle and have the same look and feel, so they're not wasted effort. Over time you've evolved the ideas into new games. I've done the exact same thing. Eventually you'll put all those pieces of the formula you've developed into one great game and then all the dead projects won't seem like wasted potential.

I'm with Fallout on this one. I'm a great failure of projects too.

But each time I've improved and gotten closer to my goal. You never know, once you've got your mind to something, all that potential will manifest in one project. All that you've done will have been part of a great learning process.

Thanks guys!
Its not so much sad as just a mega nostalgia trip. I mean, the first project I ever did was the Snack Attack one right at the start. I did that pretty much when I joined the forums, about 6 years ago. Just woah. I never realised that its been 6 years since that project wrapped up in a horrible mess of goto spagetti code.

I definitely have learned from all of these. I have a thing for top down shooters, and those have evolved to get pretty good. The last one, the one with the eye balls, is really fun to play.

This was a fun video to put together, you guys should consider it.

Man, some of these look really great.
You should think about porting them to mobile platforms they would do killer in the app store if you updated the UI(s).
