Can't users post their own stuff? That would keep it alive.

This has "Fiasco" written all over it.

I am in the process of creating a site to do precisely that. I hope it will be finished by Christmas. I will have code archieves, screenshots, project files, and demo uploading. If you have any questions please reply below.

Cool. What's the size limit on the demo upload?

it will probably unlimited because I can always ask for more space from my provider. I may have to impliment a system where clicking on ads provides you with credits to upload (say 2 credits a meg) but I definently won't be doing that unless I really have to. I hate clicking on adverts so I don't want my users to have to.

have u guys noticed that some of the best db games created are not even in the gallery.

Yeah, perhaps users are not allowed. Crawlin will fix this.

I'm not bothered about a credit system, actually.

thats good. Hopefully I will be up by christmas. I have basic design done and I have just started on authentication (doesn't need to be particually complicated but enough to stop people editing others work logs, code etc.) I think thats pretty good considering about a week ago I knew no PHP whatsoever.

I'll host any good quality DBPro sites Free of charge at www.HostRapide.com

The only exception being that you won't have a free domain name or a control panel (even I have to pay for those!). A link on your homepage would also be required, but nothing too intrusive!

If you are interested, please reference this message in any emails. Duff sites and sites 'under-construction' for months on end need not apply.

Regards,
Innes

Hi, can you email any known games that really should be featured in our Gallery sections. Rich Davey is the guy to advise. He starts working for us 100% from Jan 1st, so all the sites will be having fast and significant changes from then. Rich is also active now on the sites, so he can add new Gallary pics and links.

Oh cool, I don't mean to sound corporate or sneaky, but the more exposure our projects get, the better.

Of course not! You thought this was bad news? I stated that the more exposure the better!

crawlin... I suggest you go on with your site. I know it's sorta mean, especially on Rich, but I don't have much faith in the sites. I've heard so many promises...
The site will be up now, or the site will have this, and that and the other, and the old DB forums will stay up as an archive, etc. But no deliverance. Anyways, it's always good to have a second site, and even if DBS implements features that beats yours, you can always put more in
