Was having a discussion with the mrs yesterday about the best tasting item of food. I don't mean a meal, or a sandwich, or a curry, or any combination of ingredients. I mean as close to a base product as you can get.

We couldn't come up with anything better than a rasher of crispy cooked smoked bacon. A close runner up is crispy skin off a freshly roasted chicken. Can anyone top that?!

Nachos with chilli beef. I think about it almost every day - I think it might be addictive.

My favorite flavoring though has to be cinnamon, I like anything to do with cinnamon - but especially Danish pastries and boiled sweets. So Cinnamon is the best single flavor IMO.

Health, Ammo, and bacon and eggs!

My stomach always gives my trouble so the foods I eat are limited to:

Pepperoni Pizza (if homemade with Turkey Pepperoni)
Staggs Dynamite Hot Chili (I add Tobasco Habanero and Jalapenos)
Grogs Jerky (homemade by me of course - Teriyaki or Spicy)
Turkey Bacon
Jalapeno Poppers with Cheddar Cheese (don't like the cream cheese ones)

Of that list the most basic best tasting is Grogs Jerky. It takes a day to marinate and 5 hours to dry.

I'd like to change the best food to turkey after Grogs post making me lust for a roast turkey sandwich.

Nothing beats a quality cut of meat from a proper butcher, Or fresh fish (fresh as in, caught that day).

I would say Tuna (fresh steaks) is my favourite fish, just fry the steaks in a hot pan dressed with dried mint, tarragon, olive oil, sea salt, lemon juice and a dash of Tabasco to give it that extra kick, just rub all that onto the flesh then pan fry.
Don't overcook though because they are like beef steaks, they can become too dry but you can serve them pink in the middle.

Also nothing beats French fries with sea salt and rosemary. Try it next time you buy them, just sprinkle some sea salt and dried rosemary over them before cooking, makes them taste so much better.

Or my homemade tuna casserole.

My favorite meal would definitely be a big plate of thick french toast and maple syrup... to the point that, "I feel like a slice of butter meltin' on top of a big ol' pile of flapjacks"

As for a base product, probably a peach.

Moose Tracks Ice Cream, the full chocolate kind. Best taste in the world.

As for meals...I'd say a nice steak dinner with a side of buffalo wings and cheese covered broccoli.

I'm hungry now.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

Hum, since I live in Belgium, the best taste for me would be ... tada ... chocolate.
As for meals, there's nothing that beats a good steak with fries (or chips), a salade, tomatoos and lots of ketchup. heheheheh.
Yummy!

Cheers

Ah brother... now i want some ahi. Technically fresh saltwater fish can be eaten raw. (Sushimi) When i do Ahi i use sesame oil with sesame seeds and just seer it. Your way sounds awesome too.

Im a big fan of peasant style Italian. Some simple favorites are: penne ala rosa, chicken scarparella, Spinach rotello, and quite a few others. Im hungry now..

Easy question

Burger but not out of McD's or BK and with absolutely nothing on it apart from cheese and by cheese I mean real cheese and if you're wondering where you can get this burger go to The Hawes Inn (South Queensferry)
