The first of, hopefully, many video blogs for the production of The Hobbit has been released!

Personally, I haven't been this excited for a movie since Lord of the Rings.

Ahh good!

I hope they don't fill it with cliche movie segments along with drowning it with effects that just ruins all the colors and makes it look all futuristic like all other movies these days.

Very excited about this

And I'm not even tall!

never read the hobbit.
Played the game "the hobbit" was amazing, even though childish.
Heard lots of good stuff about the hobbit.
A must see indeed, even though iam just a lotro lover!

...Words cannot express.

The Hobbit's alot less of an epic than LotR, it'll be interesting to see Peter Jackson work without a fight scene every 10 minutes, (not talking LotR down - it was easily the best movie trilogy I've ever seen, although the books are a bit better).

Though, in the first lotro movie, there isnt too much combat.
The third one its a bit too much imo but mweh.

Will be nice with an adventure focused movie for a change.. atleast thats what i hope it will be

I loved the Hobbit way more than the LOTR books, so I have complete faith in Peter to make it another epic movie that I shall atleast watch 8 times in the cinema

And yes, I've done that with more movies. The experience is just so much more epic, cause I have an old CRT phillips without surround or anything

I'm glad they're splitting it up into two movies, what I loved about the LOTR movies, especially the extended versions was all the details they kept from the books.

This should be an awesome ride.

Sometimes I feel like the only one that doesn't like Lord of the Rings whatsoever. The first time I saw each movie, I liked them very much and thought they were incredibly unique. Second time I watched each movie, I had an almost passionate hatred of them.

I read the first two books and they definitely were not for me by any means.
