so if any of you would like to direct me to some "where to start" tutorials that would be great!

by the way the things i know is howw to create and texture matrixes, and make objects, thats all.

Where to start tutorials? You mean start a game, right? Well, I wouldn't know of any. Basicly, just figure out what kind of game you want to make, then get it all on paper. (It's always easier that way...) Then code. If you are having trouble, and can't figure it out for yourself, then post your problem. People will help.

Destroy you with my mind, I could!

you have to get the position of the object and position the camera there except move it a little further away.

@Dark Pledge:
Weeeeiiiirrrrrrrddddddd... but, each to their own... i guess if you know C++ really well, then any other language may seem hard at first, you'll pick it up, just keep at it

Whoever says that C++ is easier than Darkbasic is either on crack, or seriously needs to stick with making games in C++, or has never actually put one pixel on the screen using C++.

Guys, your REALLY not being helpful.

DarkPledge: Try reading the command references that come with DB. Each example has its own, fully working example code that comes with it.

Do NOT start with an advanced game. Do simple stuff to learn the basics of the language. Do things one step at a time. Try coding a calculater to work out variables and maths. Try the stock market tutorial to figure out arrays. Look through all those ball on matrix tutorials that come with DBC. They teach you all the basics of third person engines.

Once you know the basics, try making little parts of a game. First you may just make a guy walking around to practice your camera code. Next you just may make a collision demo. Do all these things to enhance you skills as a programmer.

Go to the Newcomers Corner and read the post at the top of the forum. There are lots of resources in it (The One labled "Rules and Helpful Resources- Read this First)

www.dbheaven.com Has some good reference.
