Hey I love the screenie, and by the look of it you've put alot of work into it.
But unless there's more I don't like the title, it just didn't grab my attention. I'm not that good at name creation but I think there are better titles that are more attention grabing.
Good Work anywayz.

I don't like it,
It would fit better if you were racing on mars (red)

Please relase a demo!
I don'tcare about the filesize! (unless it's too big for your server)

I went to your site, and just one more suggestion, the wheels on your lamborghini are too far apart from the rest of the car(compare first pic on your site).
But I can't wait till a demo is released.

Hi,

Looks great and some nice screens.

Looks like you are using a matrix for the track right?

What sort of frame rate are you getting out of it?

Yes its a matrix - im getting about 12-35fps (thats on a p3 500mhz) with a 64meg video card.

i might convert over to a 3ds or .x mesh for the track - but another example of this was kinda slow so i dont know if that would be faster or not.

Hi,

I dont know if you have ever looked my DarkGT but this uses 3D models for everything and on a 550 AMD with a 32MB card has no problems maintaining a frame rate of 25 fps although it varys between 25 and 40.

Those figures where from DB not DBP I havent had chance to convert the engine over yet.

HI!

I played it with around 25 FPS on my old 16 meg video card, 1.2 Ghz CPU and 256 meg ram.
This is the greatest racing game created with DBP! I love it and waiting for the next vesion, very nice work billy777!!!

Comments:
The buildings and cars were great!
For a matrix, the terrain looked very realistic
The track is layed out well, very fun

Suggestions:
You probably know this but: Menu, Graphics instead of text, Music (the lack of music could destroy a great game! (Ghost Recon, to name one))

The collision needs some improvment.

The turning....is a little....wierd

Great game, really shows what DB is cappable of!!

I like this! My comments:

1. replay gets confused sometimes and gets stuck. wheels turn as if playing out replay but car stuck (I crashed into police car but reversed out and finished lap but in replay car stayed stuck to police car)

2. lights of police car can be seen through hills

3. couple of places you can drive off edge of matrix and crash program

4. why can't you turn when reversing?

5. I don't like games where edge of road meets a very slight hill and it's like I've crashed into a wall!

Other than that I'm very impressed with speed of game - runs really smoothly.

Nice game, my favourite camera view was about 8th on the list which was a close chase camera. I would prefer that camera to be 1st or near the beginning.

I'm not sure of what FPS I get exactly, but it ran terrific on my box. Physics are actually pretty good. Looking forward to seeing the game when you get the action in place!

Red Moon Racing?

Your not on a moon and it ain't red. So any other name would be better.

How about 'Street Racer X'

Those X's always make a game sound more interesting don't you think?

Or 'DB Racer' - DB for Dark Basic or Dirty Bastard!

Or maybe I should rethink and post some more suggestions when I am sober -hic!

Great game...has some problems with physics. When you go over a hill the car sticks to the road!.......Then it jumps up in the air! That's not right at all. Also when you hit a hill with a slight incline it would be nicer if you could slide up it, rather than rebound off it. Also the grass causes way to much bumpy screen. But still a great game.....

Theres some good handling, but it still needs a lot of work on the reaction to the scenery etc... I hit the cop car then the replay did the same then just started ramming it...weird...

Every so often it slows down for a split second.

You some corners that are not 90 degree turns.

Terrain could be smoother.

Great shadowing on the car.

Great car model.

Handlings a little dodgy, you can really end up zigzagging up a road.

Some good physics going on here.

Nice looking so far. Look forward to seeing it again once some of issues have been sorted out.

This is really good and shows alot of promise - well done!

I like the attention to detail like the reflections on the car windows, skid smoke and tyre marks & animated scenery like the waterfall. You can SEE all that effort oozing out

Car handling was pretty good I thought but would like to have the ability to get the car sideways around the bends As it is it's still rather "Marco" (not that thats a bad thing tho!).

Not keen on the collisions; in places it's like you defined blocks on the matrix you can't drive onto and you hit an invisible barrier at a matrix square "boundry". Strange as on other parts you can drive up the verge a little. Maybe its something to stop users from cheating the course by shortcut? Also it seems innacurate with the buildings along the start grid? Also generally it appears to be a "rebound" or Stop collision rather than slide or "grind" whch would maybe be better..? Generally driving over the matrix was very good tho

Ambitious for sure but i can see a load of work has gone into this already and alot of work still to do but I'm sure you're well aware of all that

I'd be very happy to see this game get completed so I could play.

Is it just me or is the collision getting worse and worse?

IMAGE REMOVED

lol!

You need to make it so you can't cheat a lot, there are less invisible walls, and make it so you can't get stuck easily

BTW you can make it almost on the bridge

You know what'll be mad?
A shop. When you play career mode or something, you get money, I reckon instead of having that money to buy more cars, you CAN use the money to hot up your car, more sportier chassis, nicer mags/wheels, more powerfull engine, nos etc.
Great Work.

ISSUES THAT NEED ADRESSING:

1) In the 2nd track, you can fall into the pit in numerous locations.

2) That van! I saw it wander across a great plain in the 2nd level and then it went up and down a near vertical hill

3) Now look at this picture: There are two things wrong in it (taken from 2nd level)

IMAGE REMOVED

As you can see, the van can bust you. Also if you look in the top of the picture there is a tree floating in midair!

4) You can have skid marks in mid air. (Go off the edge of the pit and press back (Also in other locations))

5) Collision could use a lot of improvement; you can get stuck in many places.

6) There is no backs to the buildings, and in the 2nd level you can see that

7) You can go through all of the buildings in the 2nd level

8) THERE IS AN OVERLOAD OF INVISIBLE WALLS, Cut down on them (they are everywhere)

Great game, I love the covered bridge! Keep up the good work. I hope my long post of things that are bad didn’t discourage you. Don’t take this post the wrong way.

Good luck!

you don't really need the invisble walls/collision areas at the foot of hills just make it so you slow down loads when going up a hill so you never make it over the top.

This has got to be the craziest game i ever played in classic.
Why not only did i (for some reason) bust myself when i smashed the minivan, and trick the retard cop to drive into a building but while going at break-neck speeds I went up a 90 degree hill and couldnt get down.

(at least I had fun driving on the mountains with the van that again for some reason I saw jumping over hills)

One hell of a game man. Wat wuz wrong with Redmoon though? I liked it.

I like the original title and can understand the word play of Red moon Racing (which I associated as Blood Moon Racing) and wonder if since you are a vigilante (forgive spelling) if it would have been something like Blood Moon.

Sorry, getting off track.

Game looks good from the screen shots. Keep up the good work. and good luck chasing those program bugs down, they are sneaky little critters.

The car physics are very nice and well implemented, although it would not score 10 out of 10 graphically, the driving is actually quite fun. The only snag is that on a fast PC you need amphetamines to keep up with what is on the screen.

Wow! This game is developing quickly!

I have a few suggestions/questions for the room level:

You need to have sliding collision on the boxes, It is very annoying to have to back up every time you touch a box.

Also, when you get close to the walls of the room, you die and fail the mission. Is this supposed to happen?

That crow, the van, THE PHONE BOOTH
You should realese a story line (even just a basic outline in note form)

This is shaping up to be a very good game I can't beleive it was made in classic! The graffics in classic games allways has that...look...to them.

Oh, BTW just stick in some filler music. A good game always needs music!
