What the heck is this thing? It only shows up on the forums, but I don't remember it being here before and it's bugging me! It won't go away when I deselect, only when the page changes or refreshes.

Pic attached of it. Any way I can disable this? I've opened the source to this page and sure enough I see "Apture" in the source of the webpage... which is apparently what this thing is "powered by".

This came up about a month ago.

You can opt out on the Apture website.

You can also block www.apture.com from your hosts file or router. This gives you the added benefit of them not being able to track you at all.

I have AdBlock and it still shows up. It's just another form of advertising, gotta pay the bills somehow.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

I dont like adblock since it indirectly hurts the companies for the products you use :L

Thanks a TON for the opt-out link, Vent! That thing was annoying. Not really because of what it does but because it doesn't go away when it should.

Cisco routers are definitely ace. I've got an asus router running dd-wrt, the next best thing.
