I wonder if there is a physics engine for DB, or is no such thing yet?????

You make your own usually. Physics are really game dependant, as you dont need to use every law of physics for say, a platform game (or any other game at that). Just use parts you need for the game, and ignore everything else.

I would be unstoppable if I could just get started...

I'm working on a very nice continuum dynamics engine for DB and BB

Right now it can do Cloth, Ropes, Boxes, etc... Ragdolls?
The Cloth and Rope effects will deform the meshes for you and accurately model properties of materials like the resistance to bend in on itself....

When I'm finished I'll release some demos and see if it's what you're looking for
