I just want to know if you can use ASCII in darkbasic classic because i'm having trouble making levels with matrixes and if any one could help me i would be really really really grateful

its totally possible.

if you make your own file format with a text file
eg

mydata.bla

11111111111
10000000001
10011111001
10011000011
10000000001
11111111111

you can read that in and use it to represent a no go space as well as an open space.
