i exported a 3DS model from milkshape into notepad and got the following source:

(a)texture co-ordinates is "vt [fig] [fig]" i gather the 2 figures are the y and z axis for the texture right?
(b)vn... what is a vertex normal?
(c)what does (s) stand for?
(d)i thought it was "f 1 2 3" if i wanted the first three vertices to make a polygon... however this stuff appears as "f 3/1/1 1/1/2 4/1/3" what do the 9 figures mean?
(e) any more commands i should kno? and where can i actually find help on this stuff? i been looking on the internet everywhere but cant find anything. i've only done this stuff for about 2 hours now
