yes darkedit is worth it. its not a new program tho. its just an editor FOR darkbasic. it runs in windows and uses colored text for differnt things. so it helps reading code.

Why do you people always post questions that have already been answered a hundred times over?

Just do a quick little search and you'll find all the answers you need...

Mods, I think you need reinforce this somehow... Thanks...

Its easy, put a big message on the main forums saying:

"SEARCH BEFORE YOU POST!!!!"

It may be quite annoying but it'll do the job :p!

Sorry IanM...

Hamish McHaggis's suggestion is a GREAT one... It saves all our time as well... and it would have saved your time from having to view this very thread if the person who made it had of just done a search first...

BTW I have chang the setting in the Edit > Edit Option > DarkBASIC Option. I change all the option except the Default Startup Path because I dont really understand what Path I should put there.

Ok, in the DarkBASIC Options window, they need to be set somethign like this:

DarkBASIC Program:
C:\Program Files\Dark Basic\DB.exe

Preffered HTML Browser:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Iexplore.exe

Help File:
C:\Program Files\Dark Basic\help\menu.htm

Defualt Startup Path:
C:\Program Files\Dark Basic\My Games

In those, just replace each line with the appropriate directory for you.

For the other options on the right, they should be something like:

Command Line:
Compile: -c
Execute: -x
Make EXE: -b
Build Final: -f

Then click "OK" and you'll be right
