Went to myrtle beach for a week and it wasn't too bad, despite how many things didn't work out for me. First 5 days it stormed or rained, but one of those days I went with my aunt, who just happened to be on the beach also, to visit my sister who lived only 2 hours away. Then on Thursday, I finally saw the sun. I probably wasn't in the water for more than 20min before a jellyfish got a little physical with me.

For those who don't know what it feels like, it's like having a rope burn with a tingly electric shock kinda feeling and will make a grown man run out of the water faster than you could believe! By morning, parts of where the tentacle wrapped around my ankle had blistered.

The two lines around my ankle you see are just from the tentacle touching me, which I had to peel off when I got to shore.

And here's a day later after it started to blister:

My cousin, who also happened to be there unexpectedly, has a very good eye for finding sharks teeth and probably collected a cup full over the week. We went fishing, she caught 5 sharks, I caught a minnow. I think I give up on fishing.

We did manage to find one tooth, which is over 2 inches long and I think might actually be a small megalodon tooth!

Here's a good pic of a megalodon tooth, and if you wear away the edges of it then it looks a lot like what I found.

Hardcore holiday mate. Glad you're back in one piece, kind of! Not sure if that's a megalodon tooth. It'd have to be from a baby right, since most of their teeth were half a foot long, but it'd be cool if it was!

even tho you were nearly rained out, still sounds like you had an adventure = successful vacation (with scars to prove it). good for you.

Wow. I normally just go to Spain and wander around it for a while.

I also found a sea urchin, my friend almost stepped on it. She said, "whats this", as she points with her toe. I'm like Don't touch it!

My cousin told me a little girl got stung from a jellyfish around the same area earlier that morning.

Heh, wow, it's not too often I hear about Myrtle Beach outside of the local area. I went there about a month ago for about a week or so. I mostly just walked the boardwalk with some friends at night, though, and chilled on the beach during the day.

I hate to hear about the jellyfish incident though. I found a few dead ones in a cluster that washed up on the shore one night, but haven't had any live physical encounters, haha.
