Geek Culture / Watching Digital TV on your PC. Do these gadgets work?

My television is playing up, rather than buy a new TV for something I watch very infrequently, I thought perhaps I could watch TV on my computer.

So I had a look at whats available. A search on eBay brought up lots of sales of these items.

Digital DVB-T HDTV TV Tuner Recorder & Receiver

Do these things work? Has anyone had experience of them, as they are usb I also wonder if they can work on a mac if one changes the software these run on, then one can run them on both PC and mac.
Note - I am in the UK.

Yes its possible to watch tv on a pc, I had that on my old comp from a few years back. Basically it had a tv tuner card inside attached to the mobo and I fed the tv signal through a cable to the card. I used the windows media center from microsoft. It all worked nicely even had a tv guide if your connected to the internet. I would assume so a mac would work but I have no idea about it,you're just going to need to research that. The products you show I'm not too sure about, they seem like they might work it shows an antenna and here tv is cable based not sure how its setup around your parts. If your tv service is cable based then I would suggest a tv tuner card.
