I started working on a website to archive all the DB help files.

Once all the data has been inserted into the database, you'll be able to build your own customized keyword file by selecting only those packages you have installed and it'll generate the files you need. I mainly started this because the help files tend to be out of date and the DB language ends up with commands I don't even know about.

Before I go spending eternity adding 2000 commands, would anyone find this useful?

I was meant to comment on this a while back... but I think I had issues... anyway I would just like to say... why not just use a ready to go tool such as TikiWiki ? heres an example of mine... I will practically be doing this nevertheless

In case the question gets raised... yes its the exact same engine used by Wikipedia. albeit the base engine.

I am going to post a public project thread in Geek Culture soon... keep peeled!. if you fancy this engine hosted for free... You will probably want to see that thread.

I might have been confused is this to replace the inbuilt TGC help documents? if so then ignore the above I am intent on an online reference site... mostly because I use dual screens so I prefer not using the built in help documentation so I wanted an online system so I made my dev wiki
anyway this is all cache 22 I am having one of those days today..

Is this a publicly-editable database, or just a compilation of the standard help files? Whenever I see a thread like this, I remember that we have a wiki ([href]wiki.thegamecreators.com[/href]). I spent a while putting some of the commands into it, editing and adding to what was in the default help files. I think they are really not up to par as they are - there are a lot of obvious copy-paste errors and some information that is flat-out wrong. I've mentioned a few times the possibility of having this wiki linked into the editor help files so people could have access to up-to-date information, sample code, everything. I think that would be handy. This is a good start, at least.

doesnt work

EDIT

well anyway My Wiki is basically my experienes and putting my used commands into perspective and I can ask the community to assist with broken commands, they are more than welcome to make use of it and contribute.

It's possible they removed it recently - I was the only one that ever used it AFAIK - except for a few dozen spambots.
