Well, I didn't feel like stealing Maya, so I'm using Milkshape. I've gotten pretty good at the program, I'd say, and like a lot of other people I'm using a Half-Life model in my program. Which is to say, I've decompiled the MDL, imported the skeleton + triangles, then imported the desired (idle) animation. My question is... When I export it using DirectX 8.0 exporter (geometry, material, and animation all selected, bone root lock set, and frame offset 160), then load it into DBC and tell it to animate, it disappears. It appears at the correct size if I leave out the animation commands, or if i simply export the geometry w/o animation. The animation button is not depressed when I export, which I know can cause lots of problems. Anyone have a clue how to make it work?
I also thought about trying it in DBPro, but apparently whenever I try to run my program in it, it gives me some file tree error, a missing or corrupt dll or something. Anyone else have this happen to them?
